Fuck. I despised that song when it was new, partially due to it being so overplayed. But now when I hear it, it takes me right back to that time, when I was a senior in high school. It reminds me of the passage of time, and the gravity of it all. It makes me think of how far I've come since then. It makes me think of the people who are no longer in my life, and of the bridges I've burned. It reminds me of the trials of adolescence and their ultimate effects on me. nah man the whole of eclipse off of dsotm. after the past few songs building up to it, if not the entire album, the release of it all in eclipse is perfect. the way the drums add to the vocals and rest of the instrumentation gives it an etheral feeling. after the first few bars a guitar comes in towards the back of the mix. at the moment, during the singing, the climax, is the single best part of the album. that part is the parts where the goosebumps come.
you have to listen to the whole album first though, it doesnt have the same effect if you just put on the song.
