Gave StS a 4 star rating myself

And to each their own. While I love the more psychedelic rock tracks on tago mago, the sound collage parts, while nice, were fairly long.

Meanwhile, while I wouldn’t consider whack world more important, because of its short length and the fact it made me laugh quite a bit well I enjoyed the overall ever so slightly more.

accurate radiohead ratings

don't know much about other people's ratings to judge

I decided to check RYM for the first time this year and this is what I found. Am I being memed on? What are all those literal who's albums doing in top 20? Was 2019 really that bad so far?

Attached: wat.jpg (1916x3792, 1.09M)

one of these is not like the others

simz should be higher and you know it

What are some non-literal non-whos you'd like to see on the top of the 2019 charts, user? Also, check this out, bitch niggers, turns out 50s were really neato.

>rates VA movie soundtracks
Into the garbage.
That Alice Coltrane is better than you give it credit for imo, good listens tho.
StS rating gives you a pass even though rating Solange above a 2.5 is an enormous red flag.
Very based Radiohead and Wayne Shorter ratings, very unbased Glenn Branca rating.
Songs from the Big Chair is at least a 3/5, come on user.
Based as fuck.
Merzbow is the most useless noise artist on the planet but good ratings otherwise.
>jazz messengers
>azrachel
>stan kenton
Best taste itt so far I reckon.

Yeah, 2019 has had very little quality showings from established artists. I'm okay with it, it's nice to see previously unknown artists break through.

What'd you say lol

Needs more Absent Lovers and The Great Deceiver
Too low for almost of these and perhaps too high Stereolab
go to bed grandpa
I was on board until Melt-Banana

toe are a fantastic band. Thoughts on Idle Anxiety?
Why would you prefer this template?
>Arzachel

I’m very interested. Added to my queue
Discipline’s too low
Now this is epic

Fetch and Funeral are great you mong. Fair enough for Suburbs

Station to Station is a very nice album, I also gave it a 4.5
What did you expect?
Interesting Radiohead ratings
Never heard Melt-Banana, but not a big fan of Arcade Fire either.
2019 has been very slow so far, hope it picks up soon.
Gave the same score to Dots and Loops
That Fishmans live album is very good
That is a pretty low score for Stratosphere, hope it grows on you.
I have had Amon Duul on my backlog for about 3 months now, I need to get on that.
Dream Theater is pretty darn bad.

Attached: rym16.png (526x347, 72K)

they're not albums, I'm rating the singles for every dream theater song I know I've listened to. I used to listen to them so it's pretty interesting to see how my view has changed and how it hasn't

I had to give Solange a positive score because of the Carti feature

Based Bowie rating
Interesting, What pushed Bends over OKC for you?
Stratosphere is amazing how d a r e you

Check out Ithaca- the Language of Injury my man
Yeah, the Prodigy aren’t THAT good on an album basis

Also get on Amon ASAP. Their first two are krautrock masterpieces
Oh okay I gotcha.

>Jane Doe 1.5

Just stab me in the heart why don’t you. What didn’t you like about it?
RoC is too low. That album is a post-hardcore masterpiece that brought the genre a new light in “””popular””” music

>Yeah, the Prodigy aren’t THAT good on an album basis
You gave that same album a higher score than me, you may want to fix that. I'll check out the first two Amon albums soon.

I mean ME personally I think it's a consistently great album, I just can see why others find it inconsistent and respect the score. That being said, Jilted is chock full of filter

i found the vocals really grating, when there were no lyrics on the album, there was just horrid screaming. Plus you can't even understand the lyrics half the time. I don't listen to this type of music at all, I guess curiosity got the best of me.

If you want to get into that kind of music, their album You Fail Me is a lot less grating and more diverse sound-wise.

Idle Anxiety was my first Toe album and one of the albums on my 3x3 chart, fucking love it, 9/10

I mean the lyrics are definitely secondary to the music, that's kind of their intention(though if you google em they are pretty great) but like Johstybach said You Fail Me is more coherent lyrically so you might like it more. All We Love We Leave Behind is another great record too if you want to get into that kind of music but want to hear lyrics. It's cleaner produced
Hell yeah. Some of the best drumming I've ever heard is on that record
I respect the pinkerton rating, but that's their best album for sure
Lil Yachty isn't worth your time user. He used to have a few good tunes but he's trash now across the board. I think Introverted World makes Chutes look like shit
