As a normie about 30% of this intrigues me but I doubt it'll be worth the price. Maybe just one day

>goes to woodstock 50
>watches the zombies
>leaves

youtube.com/watch?v=0QG1frfRywc

>Dead and Company
literally who

>canned heat
literally why

The Zombies are still p good tho

At least Led Zeppelin will finally make an appearance at one of these

>no Billie Eilish
Wew lad.

why would i want to see any of those people

Sturgill and the Zombies are the only bright spot here. I like Santana as well but I don't know if their live shows are still good anymore.

this lol
why do they exist in 2019

>Miley Cyrus

pussy riot? are you serious

>Halsey

>>>>>>>>>>>Imagine Dragons

Desert Daze and Mexican summer are the fests you should go to for a more “Woodstock” lineup.

this
Woodstock is just a couple OG acts, flavor of the month bands, and random Top 40/rap shit. Very odd.

It is funny how this is happening right as the boomers are finally about to die off for the most part. They had a fun run.

That is fucking disgusting. Dubs and will do a mass shooting there

Attached: 1541628275513.jpg (804x802, 85K)

Who is this aimed at exactly?

influencers

its funny that zoomers think this is the first woodstock remake

My friend works for a major label and I can basically go for free. Should I bother?

Wow, popular bands are playing how dare they. I thought it would be nothing but obscure power electronics.

Popular bands are ok, not the pop star/hip hop shit on the line up

You joke, but Robert Plant and Greta Van Fleet playing the same festival means there's a very strong chance he'll sit in with them.

ur right this is funny as shit thanks for introducing me

I don't understand music festivals desu

>Bro fuck making our own culture lets just name our festival Woodstock
i hate this 60s worship horseshit so much

>Miley Cyrus
>Akon
>Chance The Rapper
>Jay-Z
>Imagine Dragons

what the fuck

Attached: 1377302912033.jpg (233x216, 5K)

>no Korn
Cringe

hope they continue the woodstock tradition of rape, overdose, and death

>Santana
Rob Thomas better be there too
youtube.com/watch?v=6Whgn_iE5uc

I imagine all the good self dignifying bands turned this down

>This user gets it
I wouldn't mind checking out Janelle Monae if I've already bought a Sunday Pass

fuck the grateful dead man

>Bush
>Counting Crows
>Fatboy Slim
>Foo Fighters
>Still relevant Ice Cube
>Not burnt out Metallica
>Young Alanis Morissette
>Willie Nelson
>Our Lady Peace with Turner and Torrence
>YEAHYEAHYEAHYEAH YEAH
>Tragically Hip with Gord
>Wyclef Jean

Lookin' pretty based right about now

day 3: Radiohead, alabama shakes, teenage fanclub, slowdive, flying lotus, black moth super rainbow, uncle acid and the deadbeats, boris, the 13 floor elevators, mac demarco, jesus and mary chain,The Orb, THE FUTURE SOUND OF LONDON,

Grand finale: oasis sing wonderwall while everyone is tripping on acid

Dude it was even better than that, they had a Newcomers Corner, you got to listen to Muse in 1999, Aphex Twin and Moby. Also its well known that it also features RATM's greatest ever live performance.

it's john mayer with the surviving members of grateful dead. supposed to be pretty great.

>miley cyrus
bruh...

Attached: bros.jpg (249x203, 8K)

I would flix this by replacing the five most worthless bands Day One: Father John Misty, Julia Holter, Aerosmith, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Bob Dylan

Day Two: Flying Lotus, Damian Marley, Swans, King Gizzard, Daft Punk, Sufyan Stevens

Day Three: Kamasi Washington, Tame Impala, Beyonce w/ Jay Z, Arcade Fire, Preservation Hall Jazz Band

what a shit line up jesus

Hopefully it's better then the original Grateful Dead Woodstock performance. Rain caused them to blow an amp and almost get electrocuted, they had to keep taking long breaks to fix the equipment causing their set to go on for way too long and pissed off John Foggerty who was supposed to play afterwords.

Does Taylor Bennet just dockside his brother? Honestly have never met a fan of his.

Dude if they brought Sufjan and RHCP I'd prolly go

It's been that way for every Woodstock reunion since at least 94.

Normies

Sure why not. It'll be cringy but at least you can rest assured that you didn't pay for it.

It's literally a sequel to Woodstock

My dad is a boomer and he actually likes imagine dragons. I almost considered putting him in a nursing home after that.

youtube.com/watch?v=WnPahoXwWJ8

someone make a collage of woodstock posters over time.

You can see music and art losing its soul in real time

Attached: woodstock94.jpg (365x550, 46K)

>Tickets: 135 (sold in lots of 4 only)

I thought the no-singles policy thing was a meme. How am I supposed to make 3 friends with jobs by summer?

Based.

shut up nigga like you were there

I saw the Zombies at First Ave in MN a year or so ago. They still put on a good show.

Most of this lineup is just terrible.

They got Earl tho

Imagine going from hendrix and joplin, to NIN and metillica, to Rage against the machine and red hot chillie peppers............to a 13 year old who listens to the radio and likes imagine dragons and chance the rapper

Holy shit, now do you realize why we hate you young faggots

>Nathaniel Rateliff and the Nightsweats

Mother fucker I hate that goddamn shit band

why

Terrible music that's beyond boring

hey country joe is still alive

youtube.com/watch?v=fmI_Ndrxy14

>The Chemical Brothers

Attached: Hans.jpg (1280x720, 42K)

>the killers
>akon
>pussy riot
>gvf
>imagine dragons
>halsey
>miley cyrus

Ewwwwww

Everything in white culture 2010s is unironically all revivalist 20th century kitsch get new ideas boys stop larping as 50s-90s

Wtf dude. You are very brave or very retarded to post something like this. Please confirm you are joking... or else

it's the spectacle

Mayer is a certified ripper
Can't wait for summer tour

Music is dead

>john mayer
>good
Maybe he sounds different with the dead but I don't like his solo stuff

DUDE, Spearhead is gonna be there? That's fucking nice!

Anyways, some cringey picks but some really surprising and welcome names popping up.

WOW
ALL THOSE... PURVEYORS OF OUR MODERN WONDERFUL MAINSTREAM CULTURE
TOGETHER IN ONE PLACE
WITH ALL THEIR FANS
I HOPE IT ALL GOES
WELLLLLL!!!!!!!

>No Royksopp

>a sequel to Woodstock
>with that line up
>forgetting woodstock '99 etc.
Are you under 20 or just a retard?

How the heck did so many completely obscure artists get on the bill? Havnt heard of like 80% of this line up. Underground music has made a comeback when i wasnt looking?

>No Miley + Royksopp????????????????

Woodstock '99 was the absolute lowest point in music festival history. Gang rapes in mosh pits, food and water that was beyond unaffordable, stages that were a mile apart, nu-metal bands telling people to act out in violence for three days straight, and mass arson and riots on the last night. Seriously, look this shit up and you'll understand that it was terrifying

I'd rather Rage Against the Machine &
Limp Biscuit.

SHIT SOFT LINEUP FOR SOFT PEOPLE

>completely obscure artists
They are the kind of artists whose songs are used in apple commercials. You just don't listen to shit.

>Maybe he sounds different with the dead
Yeah,

fixed

Attached: 1553041998767.png (719x727, 461K)

you have terrible taste

I would literally go to see Dead & Company
mfw Yea Forums will never understand this

are they not touring near you this summer?

I don't particularly like the bands I kept on there, I just hate them the least.

Richie Havens is still alive

TOO LOUD. THE BLACKS MIGHT GET ANGRY

Better off seeing them at an actual show, where it's all fans + they set up Shakedown in the lot and you can tailgate/chill before and after. A festival slot (especially a non-jam band/Heady one like this) will likely be fairly truncated in time and slightly geared towards casual/non-fans. Not sure what kind of audience it will bring but I can almost be assured it will be mostly upper class college aged normies and some random boomers trying to relive the past, most just there for the clout.

I've got both nights at Folsom
Boulder has the best Shakedown out of any city they visit, hands down. Nothing compares

>stop larping as 50s-90s
what does that even mean?

that shit sounds hilariouse.

Woodstock 50 is going to be an exact reflection of this time period too. The stage is going to be filled with utter medicority, top 40 radio music, bland rappers and bland rock bands. The people who go are going to pay 1000 dollars to not listen to the music and will take pictures of themselves, the roasties will larp as hippies while imagine dragons plays.

woodstock 99 sounds fucking hilariouse, the line up was better, and people there actually gave a shit about the music at least

youtube.com/watch?v=qDg3JGBBYjo

listen to any modern rock artist
he's right about rock it's just larping as older bands now instead of innovative shit

taste is subjective so you're wrong

is there anyone doing forward thinking stuff

>Led Zeppelin at Woodstock

Attached: file.png (333x147, 13K)

theres a lot of great and innovvative rock music being made. it just isnt played on the radio and normal faggots think the only music that exists is radio music

youtube.com/watch?v=Q8k3qB61lhk

Attached: best of 2010s.png (1660x1136, 283K)

>tame impala
>mac demarco
>deftones
u srs?

He's a fan of Animals as Leaders

AP is 80s influenced and tame impala 60s influenced

Well all music is influenced by something. TP is particularly derivative though. AnCo I think has more obvious 60s/70s influences than 80s but still unique and modern

Mac was innovative, other people just copied his sound. Surprised he's not at this fest desu he's moderately big.

so the fuck what, trap music isnt new either.

rap music isnt new, its like almost 50 years old

Attached: file.png (1080x1080, 1.5M)

Miley is the Janis Joplin for zoomers now.

kek

>jamiroquai
That alone is better than the entire current lineup

>This decade was to psychedelic rock pop and metal what 1940s europe was to explosions and dead slavs.
>This is what a WOODSTOCK lineup is supposed to look like for this decade according to promoters.
Monumental fuckup I tell ya h'wat

Attached: WHY.png (1449x300, 26K)

Because Pussy Riot was imprisoned in Russia

i didn't even realize americans knew them

This lineup was kind of a meme too but at least NIN played

We saw Napoleon Dynamite

This was in 1999 though

Who would you sluts choose?

Attached: Blank_Lineup.png (719x727, 393K)

I imagine there's quite a few heads out in Colorado. They could probably sell out Red Rocks 5 or 6 times over.

I saw them in Boston last year and it was great, though this year I'm in Eugene, OR and the closest they're playing is at the Gorge Ampitheatre like 5 hours away. I would go but I have no car and nobody to go with me.

are prices even out?
i fully expect them to be ridiculous
