interesting thesis, care to elaborate?

more like the west coast died out from AIDS lmao

east coast was rapping about spirituality, politics, society. even if the opinions were shit tier, at least they tried. west coast dumbed it down and glorified violence and niggerfied it

Latyrx, Souls of Mischief and Aceyalone never glorified violence or "niggerfied" hip hop. why don't you listen to more west coast acts before you make sweeping generalizations that are patently false?

its an accurate generalization tho. those acts are exceptions

so what about Kool G Rap, Notorious B.I.G. and Wu-Tang Clan for the east coast? they "niggerfied" hip hop as much as their west coast counterparts.

kool g rap and biggie still had much more thought and wit in their lyrics than snoop dogg or mc ren or comptons most wanted or ice t or too short. wu tang clan were also more thoughtful in their lyrics and their violence tended more on the cartoony side

mobb deep is probably the only 90's east coast hip hop I can think of that really matched the west coast in ignorance.

Almost an hour into this thread and there are 4 people here so far. OP,

Just sucks because I know OP isn't going to get his message across or whatever so we are just gonna keep seeing the same thing posted over and over.

>Bad Boy murdered on wax and killed
Yep

just because you don't understand it means it killed it lmfao

Gangster shit was always there bro

what am I failing to understand

That you are wrong.

nigger tier argument

no.

is a Nigger tier argument.

niggers love west coast hip hop tho so thats stupid to say

And niggers also make threads like these...

Soulja boy killed hip hop

the south can't rap, that's what killed rap

Outkast
Dumb ass

I'm pretty sure he browses this board as well...

No they didn't. Southern rap killed hip hop. Outkast were great, but then Master P started to hit the mainstream. The No Limit Records style began to spread through hip hop. By the mid 2000s, rap was infested with the southern rap.

tl;dr Master P killed hip hop.

big wrong

Looking back it had to have been a pretty miserable time. I was too young to really understand it and just liked listening to my Mystikal and Silkk the Shocker albums.
