US made punk a lot gayer

*shuns both from cultural relevancy*

>dysentry vs cholera

Ramones were a glorified boy band, whereas Sex Pistols were slightly less of a glorified boy band. UK wins by a margin.

Also 15-20 years down the road, the US was responsible for MTV pop-punk shit which were nearly indistinguishable from boy bands.

UK

US. The only British punk bands I really love are Buzzcocks and The Jam, if they even count.

US and it's not really close either.

uk

>US
I like The Misfits, TSOL, and Ramones
>UK
I like The Addicts

That's it, I guess US wins

People don't say Sex Pistols were boy band because they were "poppy", they say that because they were put together and contrived

what about sex pistols

haha

Okay but how about for post punk

I like them, Clash, Damned, Addicts. I just don't love 'em.

UK punks were in it for the fashion and the scene. US punks were in it for the music.

whining american accents on punk tracks are so weird to listen to. i would go uk
uk punk is also really sarcastic and snide

There's not a lime boy on the whole isle that could win against a fight against these spaghetti goons

US only because of this band.

wtf how is this punk?

>posts an emo band

1 fag who sings like a geriatric homo who's balls haven't dropped and head looks like a dick with ears.

Probably a nonce too.

>The Misfits

Easily the most shirtcore band out there outside of like Nirvana or the typical dad rock shirtcore bands. Also they're just rockabilly sung by a bunch of Halloween decorations.

>muh skrewdriver
>muh 1488 oi oi oi

Actual nazis would have sent punk degenerates to prison labor.

And they can kick your ass, sissy.

youtube.com/watch?v=VojQD2ZfazM

oh noooo I don't want a skeleton, the booberry, frankenstein's monster and a jack-o-lantern to kick my ass!

I don't listen to onions podcasts trying to imitate the 90s/00s shock jock craze

the uk gave us the fall

not really emo bro but ok
emo is a subgenre of punk anyway

Cum Town are The Misfits of podcasting

Here's what I like most about the Sex Pistols

When Steve Jones transitioned into an LA hair rocker

The Insane Clown Posse song Steve Jones played guitar on

US. X, Black Flag, TSOL, MDC, Agent Orange, Siege, Infest, No Comment, Mancruel, Fearless Iranians from Hell, Charles Bronson, the list goes on...
UK ain't bad though. Love rudimentary peni, discharge and doom.

No. I love American art punk and post-hardcore, and I love British anarcho-punk and crust punk. It seems like almost every time I see someone take a strong stance on this, they have a pretty damning lack of knowledge about one side.

Big Black is an American band so the US wins by default

Whichever punks had the biggest cocks are the ones I like. So which is it?

I really don't like US 80s hardcore punk so UK but post-punk > punk

Not an either/or. Two different styles/aesthetics.

Australia.

>implying emo does have punk roots

The current state of Yea Forums

US for punk, UK for post-punk.
