Love the slide guitar, great solo. Great instrumentation in general
HONEST REVIEWER HERE
Can't review this because you've made it personal, earnest singer-songwriter shows his face in music video which he shares to Yea Forums, I didn't sign up for this, feels jarring in this land of anonymous frog-posters
Opening guitar reminds me of Scorpions, video is alright (I'm a dog person but cool graphic) — nice sampling and your mix is great, levels are usually what's wrong with a lot of these share thread tracks but you nailed it, drums are great too — and perfect length! Doesn't overstay its welcome, doesn't feel half-baked — *RECC*
Really really like this, firstly the lyrics and subject matter are thoughtful, I always get morose when I see photos of my parents from when they were young people, makes me reflect on coming-of-age and growing older and opportunities taken and missed and regrets and memories etc — vocals are brilliant, the tune is great
My ONLY issue is the drums I think, they sit a bit awkwardly in the mix imo
Overall *RECC*
Heard before, listening to 'Waste' — very very good stuff, you usually get a lot of good feedback so there we go, I mean it's not reinventing the wheel or anything but you know what you're doing and it's well executed, trouble is so many people are doing stuff just like this so while your execution of the idea is top notch, the idea itself could use work — I love when those choir-esque vocals drop in at 1:40, changes the whole mood :) *RECC*
"""based"""
This is great, well mixed and tasteful, don't hear slide guitar on many of these threads so that was a welcome addition — well-written crisply-enunciated lyrics sit well with the clarity of the guitar playing and definitely evoke mood — really good stuff dude

HONEST REVIEWER HERE
Heard this before, the synth that starts at 0:14 reminds me of the one used in the Crazy Frog song, I mean it's 11 mins long and I listened to the first 3 mins — not for me but it's well done so *RECC* (imo just boring)
Listened to 22.3, yeah it's nice and wet and cushiony, enter the high-hats and then the kick, meanwhile the synths grow clearer and louder
Look, it's boring — if this is your first foray into this sort of thing, I take my hat off to you, however while u only have 4 tracks on your profile the oldest one is from 1 year ago, so you've been doing this for at least a year and it's culminated in this most recent track, '22.3' which imo is pretty dull
Yeah it's alright, I was kinda waiting for the drums and bass parts to kick in and open the first verse, then at 0:50 the vocals start and they're kinda submerged in the guitar and swirling background synth parts, which I don't mind at all
Again I felt the song teetering on the edge of actually beginning, just waiting for the drums and bass to give clarity and direction and shape to it, right now it feels aimless and formless, still really good stuff *RECC*
> Folk-Trap
*Braces oneself*
This is good, very bare and minimal and stripped down and nice lyrics, except things like "I know life can get fucking insane [...] Just follow your heart and freedom you'll obtain," which isn't exactly cringe-inducing but it's close *RECC*
>"You will love"
Eh okay, steady on
—LYRICSLYRICSLYRICS:
"In the Land of no Kings / The queens reign supreme / Wolves devoured by sheep / I must be insane [...]
"A stripper spreads her legs /
She's my Red Robin in a cage /
Oh how Heaven's in a rage /
All I wanna do is feel her touch /
The desire of flesh"
——> It's all a bit cringe
It's a bit loud as well, mix sounds very muddy
Idk man
Thanks for your honest reviews!

HONEST REVIEWER HERE
Progressive metal (or any metal) isn't my thing so gonna pass on reviewing this one, although I did listen and it sounded alright *RECC* because it's the only metal on this thread so far and I don't like metal music
Really really great song — 'The Yesterday Boys' is a brilliant name, definitely getting a 60s vibe from this, the tune is wonderful, sounds like Love or something, could be a Forever Changes b-side, also Beatles — genuinely Beatles, this is really great stuff, seriously
*BIG RECC — BEST SONG I'VE HEARD SO FAR*
Ah, dvd.gnome
This song represents one of the greatest affronts to ABBA's legacy in the history of music — they loved what Madonna did with 'Hung Up' but I doubt Björn and Benny would give dvd.gnome the seal of approval if they heard this
Also your image is cringe, but we've been through this (anime profile pic, emoji song titles, cartoon track covers etc) — HOWEVER I did like the video :)
This is really promising, especially since you say you're new to all this, you sound like you're enjoying it which is such an important part of the music-making (or indeed any creative) process in its outset/infancy, tune is very lighthearted and great demo sound, full of character, you have a good voice *RECC*
Aggghhh you can't call yourself 'Christian McDepression' — I mean Christian is fine but McDepression?!? No no no don't pursue this image, with songs like 'freddie mercury loverrrr // I am pathetic' and 'selfhate' etc
— I mean you do sort of acknowledge the cringe by green-texting your music as 'sad boy acoustic' but THIS WILL NOT DO!!
The whole """sad boy acoustic""" thing has been done to death
"Just because she likes the same music as you doesn't mean she can be any less of a jerk than anyone else" — dude come on
You call yourself the 'r/okaybuddyretard of music' ??
You're obviously young so you're excused, but dude get a new angle — song is good btw *RECC*
Definitely dawg, Ima stick with the name because it's very near and dear to me (a girl gave me the nickname), but I listened to too much crywank, and I'm experimenting. I'd really like to hear what you would think of my newer stuff
>ABBA
What are you talking about ?
Thanks for taking the time, I'll take note. Godspeed!

HONEST REVIEWER HERE
Listened to 'H89068H' — it's a bit loud but otherwise alright, I don't know what aesthetic you're going for, on Soundcloud you've tagged it as 'shoegaze [...] psychedelic [...] choir,' none of which I think apply — you've even gone with #??? which seems to confirm that you lack vision, just making random sounds — I mean come on dude, EVERYONE is making random bleeps and bloops and calling it """"ambient"""" so what sets you apart from the rest?? Get some better ideas is my honest advice, because it's just bland filler muzak at the moment, like people passing by your profile might listen once and instantly forget all about it — it's forgettable
Second track, 'Voxentral (is way too cool for a title like this)' actually reminds me of the music that played (and still plays) at the Escher X nendo exhibit 'Between Two Worlds' at Melbourne's NGV which I visited twice in January of this year whilst spending Christmas with family over there:
ngv.vic.gov.au
Kind of a random association but the Voxentral track genuinely sounds uncannily similar to the exhibition music, very spacey and on edge — prefer Voxentral to H89068H
HOWEVER your biggest problem is that the levels are too high — it's TOO LOUD :'(
Heard this before, reviewed it a few times now, can't remember what I said about it but no gonna review the same stuff over and over again so
You sample 'The Winner Takes It All' which is a song by ABBA

Guitar beat. I played the guitar.
soundcloud.com
I really like the beat. I think the effects on the vocals are a little too strong and kind of muddy them up a bit. Really like the flow and the style though, just could be clearer sounding.
I like that staticy snare/drum. Pretty vibey stuff, left a comment.
Throw some 808s under that cool sound and you could make an interesting dark hip hop beat. Just add drums.
This is pretty cool. I suggest putting some effects on the guitar at points, but really cool idea. Really like your vocals.

I dont normally like this type of music but this is pretty god damn great man i will be showing my friends
Reminds me of something i would hear in a sci-fi soundtrack as like the future of hip hop/beats. Neat stuff
You need to do movie scores m8. I felt that track.
I love gentle atmosheric stuff like your first track it really has a way of getting into your head without you noticing and coloring the way you go about what youre doing. I like it a lot.
I want to hear people on this track. Its got a really progressive vibe to it and it almost has its own hook which really comes through. I want to hear more

don't listen to that other guy i like these even if they're a little aimless
holy mountathon and ants and bees and such and devil waits are really good pieces, some of the others aren't quite lofi enough to be endearing or quite hifi enough to be normal sounding, try adding vocals, even if you suck it will give some structure and humanity to your music that people will latch onto i think
