These albums turned sampling into high art. And proved sampling takes more effort than playing an acoustic instrument.
(PLEASE DON’T POST IF YOU’RE A NON MUSICIAN!)

Musician here.
Didn't prove anything, this is low quality bait. Donuts isn't even that good.
Also
Sorry OP, I don’t discuss these things with non-musicians. Gonna need to see proof of musicianship from you if you want me to contribute
>Musician here
Let me guess, you play guitar/piano in your bedroom and don’t get paid for it.
You’re still a non musician.
I don’t have to prove anything to you, sorry sweetie.
Go ahead and tell us how these albums "proved" anything.
Burial - Untrue
Blank Banshee - Blank Banshee 0
Panda Bear - Person Pitch
>no John Oswald
What are you, gay?
Yikes
But why are these always the main ones talked about? they have been memed out on here for the last 10+ years on Yea Forums
Theres plenty of more great plunder-phonics albums that should be studied and revered. For example youtube.com
Bait aside, it really is amazing what people have been able to accomplish through sampling. Both Hip-Hop and Shibuya-kei are undeniable proof.
>no Paul's Boutique

He's making a statement which is probably true. Doesn't mean there aren't other good sample-based artists out there and OP never implied otherwise.
making collages of paintings may make you an artist but you're definitely not a painter
eh
All great picks, also My Life In the Bush of Ghosts is another pretty good album that was one of the earliest to utilize samples. Pretty much Talking Heads instrumentals from David Byrne with Brian Eno splicing in audio samples that kinda imitate David Byrnes vocals
Shadow never claimed to be a tradional musician.
bullshit. sampling was high art from the moment art musicians like john cage explored it. The pop tripe you're bandying around debased sampling if anything.
t. classically trained musician, btw
>Pinnacle of sampling
>No Amon Tobin - Bricolage
Whatever you say, kid.
John Cage doesn’t make good music.
he mad high art, unlike your lowest common denominator pop music. now go back to posting about kpop or grimes or whatever degeneracy that respects the low IQ listeners
Endtroducing is literally the highest rated experimental album of all time.
