They're all incredible in their own way, s/t is just a grower not a shower. I've been a Smiths fan for all my adult life, and every single one has been my favorite at a different point. But I always come back to s/t the most.

How don't you appreciate the album for its context? The era shines through the sound of this album. Its definitely no "Meat is Murder", but its solid analog jangle-pop and I don't see what could be wrong with it. None of the songs are held back, not even with the addition of studio instruments (such as the organ on You've Got Everything Now)
