So, do any of you faggots actually work in the music industry?

or anything else that has sth. to do with music?

Yeah I’m Lorde ama

This is a consumer/hobbyest website

I’m a real life songwriter. I make about 20 dollars a month from streaming so I’m technically a professional.

>faggots
yeaa... we dont do that here. fucking B refugees

>tfw you will never meet lorde on an anonymous basket weaving forum and become her best e-friend and eventually have her meet you and fall asleep on your chest while you're listening to post rock
Sad reality

Same. I make about $200-300 per month from streaming/dowmloads and lurk here on and off to read threads where you discuss my music. Most of the time I miss them and just read in the archive afterward. Lots of misinfo but I don't interfere, it's not my business to say in my philosophy the fans or haters should be left to say whatever. It's interesting to read sometimes. I've only posted about five times to help people find songs.

You sound like a narcissist

my god imagine consuming as much onionmilk as this guy

whats your artist name?
how so? if you were an artist and were discussed on the internet wouldnt you be interested in what people are saying about your music?

Oh I thought you meant you wanted to inform others why their general opinions are wrong. Streaming revenue is so low that you must be getting tens of thousands of streams to even get 200 a month, so you must somewhat popular?

I didn't need this pain, user. You've cut me deep today

I'm Trent Reznor.

ur music’s gay lol

God damn it

the above user you're replying to was not me. i'm not going to say my artist name. i don't post in threads about me, it feels wrong to intervene. i just wanted to answer op. yes, real artists are here sometimes on this site.

I'm Obama

i know a couple guys who work college radio and someone who interned at an LA label for a few months

can you tell me your genre at least pls?

anne frank here, daughter of jeff handgun ama

What r u working on next? What does it mean riding the bus with the knees pulled in?????

A bit of everything

a bit of what? idm, lofi house? grunge rap?

You ought to pursue the genre (s) that are most fulfilling to you, and not worry about whether they'll pay you. I'm not even sure how to classify the music I make. That's for others to decide.

I'm a club promoter and a dj

I scream obscenities at passers-by on the street corners and tell my girlfriend I'm a spoken-word performer.

She lets me sleep in her parents' basement so I'm basically an employed musician.

>not even sure how to classify the music I make
come on dude, dont be that guy. its probably not nearly as innovative and unclassifiable as you think. dont act as if you've never tagged your music anywhere before.

It's just a silly thing to do because there are lots of pieces in various genres and many are mixtures of several. Believe me, if I try to label it one way people say that's wrong. I couldn't care less. It's music.

do you release all under the same name? im curious because im a producer myself doing various genres but only have used one artist name so far.

who is she

Most of my income comes from DJing and I do venue management as well.
Kinda hate it now desu, I want a regular job and to keep music as a passion.

I work in a production studio and I’ve helped make beats for Cardi B, 2 Chainz, and Big Sean. i essentially crank out beats all day until one gets picked up and i get a giant paycheck, even bigger if it gets some radio play.

yes.

the state of music today.....sigh
but this is so true

i'm an audio engineer. i record full bands typically, i don't like working with most solo faggots. i'm setting up for work in a minute i love doing this shit.

i'm a hobby artist. i still gig and record in a pro studio but not for the money or fame. i'm actually a qualified architect by day. i make no money from my sonic art.
the "pro" musos which i know & meet in my city say theyre jealous of me because i actually own my own house & car and have a steady income. we still do the same thing but i do it for pleasure. they do it to be fucked by venues/management/labels so they can eat & pay bus fare.
true story

How many tight young buttholes do you eat per month? That's the true measure of success.

No, I'm just a busy internet music nerd here to complain

When making beats do you usually just do a four bar loop with a full arrangement and call it a day or do you do b sections and actual writing?

im single with no kids. work it out. now ive gotta go and drive my M3...hahahaha
