This was my thought as well. I didn't expect a band that's been around that long, whose last album was arguably their weakest, and had an 8 year period between then and now to actually live up to some of their higher standards. Like it's not their GOAT album but it fits in great with their consistently good discog which is all I hoped for.

What this guy said Witching Hour was my intro to them and I swear I listened to it 3-4 times in a row at first. I still consider it their best, but I think most do. Not sure what's considered among big fans to be the order in terms of quality.

It was their weakest but even then it was a very good album which is rewarding on repeated listens. If you're in the right mood Gravity the Seducer sounds heavenly.

There are some artists who made quality synthpop such as New Order, Depeche Mode, The Knife, Goldfrapp, Chvrches, Propaganda, Kraftwerk, The Human League, Gary Numan, Yazoo who are a little similar to Ladytron but nothing like the real thing.

Yeah. Ladytron set the quality bar very high. You can test that quickly if you're trying to make a custom Best Of their music. It's very hard to do because they have so many great tunes.
