I have noticed that ratings of albums by older artists have been steadily dropping over the years as the influx of new users, especially zoomers, has been increasing over the years. It's happened with basically all of the older artists. Stones are in the lead picture because I found this image somewhere so it's a good example, but it has happened to all of the older dadrock artists. Some decreases are not that big, but some are by whole 0.1 point.

I've often thought the cycle of popular culture has merely been made far more rationalized and expedited through the power of targeted data collection and advertising and the efficiencies of production brought up due to computers. Look at the music produced, I've sat in and engineered these sorts of sessions and it clearly takes us no longer than 10 hours a song to record, mix and master, when it was something like a rock band, we'd be there for 18 hrs a day to make sure everything goes perfect. A bit of a tangent, but I think that may bring some insight into how I may have misunderstood your notion of a radicalized pop media.
