NOTM has ride's best lyrics imo. i don't see Black Quarterback mentioned often, so i'll recommend that on those grounds. right from the beginning of the song he's just going off more and more incoherently, it's so fucking good.

Ride's standards for lyric writing is a billion miles higher than the average rapper or lyric writer in general. He's on that Cedric Belixer level shit. The deep reference based and creative vocabulary stuff in lyrics always gets me.

I'm not all about super artsy out there lyric writing I really enjoy sentimental and emotional lyrics too, but yeah Death Grips is not an overrated band at all. I'm glad that they have the attention that they do.

I did not enjoy YOTS except for Death Grips Is Online though, biggest drop in quality since Government Plates, which was still at least half good songs. YOTS was just too much about the sound palette and not enough about good song writing. Something can sound really interesting but not be well written and that's what that album was for me.
