Because we’re “le non-Asian POC” and considered “brown”. Anyone non-black who is brown is more likely able to get away with it. You can’t be Asian and get away with it though even if you’re a brown Asian. It’s because Asians on average do well for themselves (at least in America) regardless of being a minority. White liberals hate whites and Asians. They only bend over backward for Hispanics and Blacks. It’s whatever. A lot of us laugh at these white “progressives” behind their back.

They actually exist. There are families descended from Europeans that have only married other pure Europeans. Lots of Cubans fit this description, also some Argentines, southern Brazilians, etc.

many latinos are black tho.... many latinx ppl descended from africans brought over as slaves into central and south america. many are mixed race with europeans and indigenous american ppls... south americans have much in common with north american blacks...

For some reason Latins have always been classified as nonwhite in the US even though Cubans et al are mostly of pure European descent with minimal black/Amerindian mixing.

Latin culture was very big in the US in the 40s through the 60s, but it was still the whitest possible guys like Desi Arnaz and Anthony Quinn.
