Does it hold up?
Does it hold up?
>hold
It was never good. The last good album they made was nimrod
holiday is the only good track on it
yep still cringe
yep, still a masterpiece.
Honestly this album is great. Really if it’s time though. If you weren’t there you don’t get it.
Every track is memorable and unique. Jesus of Suburbia is a god damn anthem.
Honestly American idiot is sitting comfortably next to Abbey Road in terms of iconic albums for me these days.
>comfortably next to Abbey Road in terms of iconic albums for me these days.
American Idiot is more like Tommy for retards. And that's saying something because Tommy is already retarded as fuck
>literally “fuck trump” the album
I don’t think so
it's aged to be even better
it wasn't good in the beginning.
it holds up a heart grenade
Almost got me
its fucking terrible
I unironically like it and enjoy it a lot
It's perfectly solid pop with a message evocative of its time. Even with the political context stripped away the songs are still driving in their own right and it throws out a sticky line once every 20 seconds on average. Also doesn't hurt that it was half an entire generation of teenagers' first rock opera.
nonnonono
Nimrod is bad looking back. Very weak pop punk. And Worry Rock is Nowhere Man almost verbatim. Green Day ran out of ideas after 1994, American Idiot is the only exception.
>some boomer bullshit
OK i'll enterrtain this and wikipedia it, maybe see what the hit song was
It's a bit cringey but i still like it a little
Ever since this album they have been increasingly becoming generic and too "whiny"
i just don't want to hear Billy's political ideas anymore it's getting old hearing Billy say "fuck America" over and over and over again.
It's an amazing album, their best.
This album isn't even that political
I think you mean Dubya
greenday is very very very VERY small
