Metal is so boring now. Like shit, what does the genre even have left to it? Trap, hardcore punk, and hardcore electronic stuff is far more aggressive. All sorts of noise based music that's more abrasive. Loads of genres that do the atmospheric stuff better. Loads of genres that can be more technical with less restrictions. Loads of genres that can deliver simple meaty catchy songwriting with less restrictions. The genre's in such a sad state.

You're either trolling or an absolute retard. I listen to all of those genres and while you might have a point, at least for me none of those capture aggression, hate and/or loneliness as well as black metal. That just being an example. There's some really good shit coming out right now and it keeps coming. Pig's Blood just released a new album a few days ago. Blackened Death, i believe. Give that a listen. It's raw and brutal.
