Their music is shitty trite pop music disguised as edgy rock, the music deserves criticism. However, I empathize for him because I do believe they are trying to be authentic and just making music that they like, and receiving all of that criticism can be depressing. The thing about his children is very true, however, they will also grow up being privileged by all the affluence that their shitty music will profit from. A lot of kids grow up in way worser circumstances, so he should at least be happy about that and focus on spending quality time with them to raise them to be good people.
