They're good bands but the absolute wrong entry point for getting into black metal

Darkthrone's Transylvanian Hunger
Celtic Frost - Into the Pandemonium

Just listen to it and see if you enjoy it. It's the definition of pretentious if you just want to get in to music that you don't really like just for the clout

either by getting right to it with the old school, fundamental classics (darkthrone, emperor, immortal, mayhem, burzum etc) or looking for a potentially more accessible entrances like melodic (Dissection, Dawn, Sacramentum, Windir but why not even Obsequiae or Aorlhac) or atmospheric (Burzum, Ulver, Summoning, Drudkh but why not even, Mare Cognitum, Arsaidh, Murmuure or Alcest) forms of it.

you might also want to familarize yourself to other, older froms of metal to understand the evolution of the genre and the formation of black metal which might help to intellectually understand before
