I had mixed feelings about the Red Album. As long as it is nothing like the Green one or Make Believe, I'm on board.

A lot of Pacific Daydream in it, but more guitar, really varied, pretty hard to describe

Is it as good as the White Album at least?

Pacific Daydream is not actually what I would call a good reference, but I'll try to listen to it with an open mind.

Living in L.A. and High As a Kite are great tunes, is there anything similar?

Yeah there is, Just Being Honest fits into that quite as well, Piece of Cake is very piano focused
The Prince Who Wanted Everything puts a lot of focus on funky guitar
Byzantine is kind of weird, sorta like Jacked Up

No, its worse than Daydream (but then again, i actually enjoy that album). There are some individual tracks I can pick out that I enjoy (Piece of Cake and Zombie Bastards) but overall its pretty average

Its a pretty varied album, and sounds like what I wanted pacific daydream to sound like.

But yeah, this is not the black album everyone wanted. But it's fun to hear weezer trying some new sounds.

I think people are gonna rate it 3/5, but I still kinda like it

Probably their worst album yet. Really don’t think Weezer has had lyrics this brain dead before now. Only high point is HAAK which is admittedly pretty good, seriously didn’t think Weezer could get this bad again.

I was really actually excited for the album, the singles had me excited, but as an overall package, this album is just, easily the worst album.
I felt more and more depressed the more I was attempting to listen to it.

It is so much than White. It is still decent pop/pop-rock though but overall a disappointment like PD.

I used to hate Red on instinct, but I eventually realized that it's basically one big ironic shitpost designed to test how much Rivers can get away with while still maintaining a deducted fanbase. It's kind of brilliant.

All of these songs are great and have a wonderful atmosphere, Rivers' vocals are the best they have ever been.
The only bad thing about the album are the lyrics, other than that? I don't see much of problems with it.
Also My Best Friend sucks, but that's one song and I can forgive it that.

Has a true leak surfaced yet? The "leak" that's been spreading around since last night isn't ripped straight from the actual album, it's a hodgepodge of album rips and single versions. The result is that some songs have different filetypes, different qualities, incorrect lengths, or different masters.
