never thought about it this way, but you are quite on point

no but your whore mom will have cum back lol

Nope.

Smart phones/internet won't allow it.

Boiler Room is a turd.

Will we ever again see this many white kids together in any situation?

raves in scandinavia are p hip

Rave culture mirrors disco culture to the tee, sorry user.

I don't get it

please enlighten us as to why smartphones ruined it. im legitimately curious.

Not true. An excerpt from a Resident Advisor article on the rave culture in my country:

' "When you go to other places, other countries, you see the dance floor is mainly people talking," Kino, one of the club's residents, told me. "People using their cell phones, taking pictures of the DJ—stuff like that. But if you do that at Phonotheque, you're not really there." '

So if a third-world country like mine can have a devoted (but small) rave culture I imagine it also happens in big cities in Europe and North America.

Pretty fucking huge right now in Britain

/thread

Are hardstyle fests still big in Europe and Eastern Europe? I remember seeing clips of what looked like thousands of people at those in the 2013 time period

Europe is fucking full of DnB raves. The fuck are you talking about

american festivals for middle class white people aren't "raves"

Where?

yes, the culture has always been underground but it's still there, those people travel around europe to go to those festivals
gabbers are disgusting tho

UK, Belgium, Czechia, Slovakia, Austria.
Clubs are full here and we're going hard DnB style

i live in a city in the UK where on of our only claims to fame is that we where the rave centre of the UK in the 90s and its fucking dead now

UK is alive. What about Printworks? And Fabric? youtube.com/watch?v=LnKBNWOVL0Q&t=158s

Any festivals that plays this kind of music this summer?

It should die. EDM is queer and cancerous

>EDM
you americans never quite got electronic music

This. There are raves literally every weekend here

went to like 5 raves last year, each time on ectasy

and it kinda bored me already

Let it Roll - "The biggest D'n'B festival in the world - Czech Republic, Milovice airfield
letitroll.eu/

Beats for Love - Largest EDM festival in central Europe - many stages ranging from DnB to Breakbeat and Psytrance
b4l.cz/cs/

I'm going to both since I'm Czech and love to get off my nut to DnB

stop going to shows with posers.
go to a schwefelgelb show, people are moving too much to even hold their phones for five seconds

Rave culture is still alive in Brazil. I'm going to attend one this Saturday.

PS: I chose both of these not because I'm Czech but mainly because it's quite cheap here and both of these festivals are a bang for your fucking buck since the amount of fun you're getting for the sum of money is insane.

B4L, for example, is now €42.5 per ticket + provider fee.

t. never been to Berlin

Damn. Beats for Love are dirt cheap. Hotels doesn't seem expensive either.

I don't even know why you added me to your stupid-ass reply.

I hate the term 'raving' because it's been ruined by normies who think going to a mainstream club that plays house music and maybe popping a pill is 'raving.'

raves are still around in sweden

this

raves are big illegal parties be it in a loft/old factory or outdoors that can get raided any second

And the lineup is usually quite fucking good

No. Modern rave culture has been tainted by 2010 "edm" shit. People go to raves because they recognize the dj/producer. People seem to have forgotten that raves used to be
>underground
>free
>about the drugs and music
Big room house has also crapped all over 90s underground house and hardcore gabber. So, its bad pop music with 14 year old horny teenagers who know nothing about true rave culture.

No (and that's a good thing)
