and what's wrong with the genre of emo? We're influenced rather heavily by quite a few emo bands such as Sunny Day Real Estate, Pedro The Lion, Mineral, Appleseed Cast, Jawbreaker ,and Texas Is The Reason
Also, we've never been called power pop before, but i'll take it! Depending on the song you listened to, maybe that would fit. "Low Dose of Irony" comes to mind. But when I think of power pop, I think of Cheap Trick, who I do like, but I don't know if we really sound like them. That's just my ear though
