How is it sad for me to have been here for years if you've been around for long enough to have known that?
im not pretentious enough to think my taste is better than anyone else's, let alone while listening to fucking grimes lmao
>im not pretentious enough to think my taste is better than anyone else's
>contradicts himself in the rest of the sentence
It really does write itself, on god.
grimes is the one artist that is universally agreed upon to be shit, all other taste is subjective

Anybody has a japanese modern rock & metal (melodic death, hardcore, post hardcore, metalcore, screamo, jazz punk, nu & alternative, rap metal, progressive, hard rock, prog rock, avant garde, math rock) chart, or recommendations? I've been listening to Midori, Dir En Grey, NIL, Shampoos (math rock, highly recommend), Elephant Gym, 9mm Parabolic Bullet, Fear and Loathing, and Maximum the Hormone. I like a focus on nice vocals too.
ling toshite shigure is cool
I'll check em out, thanks
is neverendingchartrendering down? It's not showing any of my album searches
Does somebody have the nww chart?
Also recs plz
it's down for me too. it's working fine with movies, but yeah no albums are showing up
If you appreciate bands like System of a Down, Slipknot, and the harder sides of Linkin Park and KoRn, Midori is a japanese jazz/punk band led by a rapping, screaming, singing anime girl, and featuring a keyboard warrior, a classical bassist, and an insane jazz drummer. youtube.com

Your music taste is a trange amalgamation of mine and all of my friends' music tastes.
Streetlight Manifesto - Everything Goes Numb
Fidlar - Too
Hey Violet - From the Outside (skip last 2 songs)
Last Dinosaur - Yumeno Garden
I have fought against it, but I can't any longer. - The Body
Building Nothing Out of Something - Modest Mouse
out curiosity, I've always wanted to make one of these. But out of the thousands og albums you've consumed , how do you keep track of it all, and how long does it for you to make one of these.
narrow stairs is a goat album
on topsters it takes about an hour to do if you give it enough thought; start with a top 5x5 if you want and then work from there
it also helps to catalogue your music using like RYM or something so that you can remember albums that you like, especially if you have an idiot donkey brain like me and forget that you've listened to a band before
experiment with men
good taste, I like that you put certain bands together in clusters. try writing a short story and getting it peer reviewed
Hey Bryter, I saw the pics of you lol, ur a qt. We should reform the beatles because I kinda look like paul lol.
Idaho - Hearts of Palm
How was the edan or deep purple records
Common - Resurrection
Donovan - Catch the Wind
Ducktails - St. Catherine
rude
Microstoria -Snd
Fela Kuti - Open & Close
Sagittarius - Present Tense
Morgan Delt - S/t
Charles Mingus - Mingus at the Bohemia
just make a chart that shows what you like/what you have been listening to that will show your taste.
neverendingchartrendering.org
if this chart thread survives till morning ill post chart and reccs but for now I just want to shout out the guy in the last one who told me about The Orbiting Human Circus, this is incredible.
infinite frequencies - computer death
I knew you'd love it :) Im btw
The Gerbils - The Battle of Electricity
if you listen to a lot of music and it's hard to keep track of, it's probably good to keep a catalog of sorts. RYM is probably the easiest way to do this. when i made my first top 100, i just put my top albums from RYM there and then replaced albums when i found a new one that i really liked. it's a lot easier than it looks. try making a chart, it's fun.
also, neverendingchartrendering.org also has options to make top 42 charts and custom collages if that suits you better
thanks for the reccs, i'm listening to them rn. they're really good
There's a lot of stuff on here that I used to listen to. You might like The Fratellis - Costello Music.
Unrelated but not worthy of a new thread. About a week ago last.fm recommended me an album that had a gif as it's cover art, and it was abstract. I listen to mostly rock and punk, if that helps. Does anyone have a clue what it might've been?
Need recs!!!
