I know a couple literal geniuses, one studying Rep theory in maths and the other studying high energy physics. Both have 150+ IQs and went to special schools for gifted children.
I asked them them this question once, and asked them what their peers listen to.

Short answer: nu-metal, classic rock, and entry level classical.

i know what i listen to and i'm "smart" but you said "people" and "iq" in a way that means i don't like (You), OP.

j-noise

Unless they are into music, what someone who is not into music would listen

I don't think you can narrow this shit down reliably enough. It's probably easier to list things they are less likely to listen to

Non-meme answer: high IQ is correlated with an "omnivorous" taste for a wide variety of genres.

Zolo. It's aways Zolo.

This is probably true. But of course it's only the case if the high iq person has more than a passing interest in music.

My mom used to be a professor and my dad still is. My mom likes most genres but mostly classical, folk, art pop type stuff, and some jazz/blues stuff. I've even heard her listening to metal a few times. The only thing I haven't heard her listening to is hip hop, but she does have some a few rap albums in her collection iirc. I wouldn't mind texting her to ask what they are desu but she's prolly asleep.

My dad isn't as into music and mostly likes what my mom is listening to but he does like some upbeat prog stuff. Loves Mike Oldfield and Pink Floyd and a few old blues guitarists but I can't remember who. Both of my parents are huge Kate Bush fans but I can't stand her desu. My dad thinks she's prog lol.
