What don't you like about metal without using buzzwords?? Plenty of it is schlocky nonsense (which can be fun, but is hardly intellectual), but there are some really forward thinking artists and records int he genre. I recommended that one because I think it displays a level of emotional depth and variety unorthodox to the vast majority of metal.
