I'd say KPN has been pretty consistent over the years the only really embarrasing album they have done is the last one. La Chaise-Dyable wasn't great but Famine has said it's a particularly lyric-focused album, so since I don't speak french IDK if I can judge it fairly.

Mayhem post DMDS is the best Mayhem and puts most to shame. I always rant about faggots who hate on their newer style, though I'm not sure as to how and if they even listened their fucking albums like Chimera or Esoteric Warfare, even EPs like Wolf's Lair Abyss, because they're tighter than ever and only show how much they've grown the further they go. I'm still fucking mad at myself for missing out on their DMDS tour back in April of 2017, shit's gonna haunt me for life if I don't get another shot to see them.

There's nothing to be saved since they're great all around, particularly Blasphemer whose riffs are the shit and he's 10 times the guitarist Euro ever was. What he did on Chimera and Wolf's Lair Abyss is fantastic and Maniac's vocals on those albums, also on GDoW (those over the top cleans are my shit), really grew on me and he's probably my favorite vocalist and only passes Atila by a small margin.
