What do you see in Oh Comely?
I think it's takes Jeff's indulgent singing annoyingly far and is a stain on the album

Overhyped and incorrectly shoved into canon in high regard due to early mutards taking awful Pitchfork writing as gospel. It's a pretty safe album so its marketable and accepted as some sort of timeless work of art.

Taken in its current milieu yes one could say it is overrated. But taken in the context of when it was released you would be hard pressed to get anyone to agree with you. This was a hard hitting album that revitalized the music scene of athens with new energy. Only zoomers and newfags would call this album overrated

Whatever Jeff's doing lyrically is at its most sincere and evocative in oh comely. I legit teared up the first time I heard it
