Yes, Only a Lad is based as fuck

Didn't the band say they don't like this album compared to their other projects?

>we live in a timeline where Danny made it as a serious film composer and let Boingo die an undignified death and will NEVER EVER reform them
I wish that ginger jew fuck never met Tim Burton, the world would have been better off for it.

they got a lot of heat for this album specifically due to the right wing/conservative nature of the album, not to mention the first song "little girls" was massively misinterpreted by countless plebs back then which added to their infamy, "capitalism" also pissed off a lot of people back then since the majority of the people who were into new wave/post-punk were mainly left leaning, all in all the album is a solid 10.

I mean it's been said in countless interviews, some even current, that they were trolling. The amount of people who even now still think Little Girls is in bad taste or even remotely serious along with Capitalism is amazing desu

only a lad, nothing to fear, good for your soul, dead mans party are all great albums
boingo ran its course

>due to the right wing/conservative nature of the album
That's kind of dumb, this album isn't trying to make a statement at all, it's just poking fun at all sides

If you think Capitalism is either for or against capitalism you're not really getting the Boingo spirit

>Good For Your Soul
>Nothing To Fear
>So-Lo
>Only A Lad
>Dead Man's Party
>Boi-ngo
>Forbidden Zone soundtrack
>powergap
>Dark At The End of the Tunnel
>power gap
>Boingo
These are the definitive rankings.

Interesting ranking
Your top two are based, though I wouldn't rank So-Lo that high

Where would you put Boingo Alive? It's definitely among their best

to be fair I haven't really read much on them apart from what I posted previously

You should be more upset that they're sitting on a goldmine of unreleased/rare songs that never got a proper studio release.

I'll even go so far to say that some of these are their best songs, but there's no way to listen to them unless you dig around for really obscure movie soundtracks or keep active in the bootleg community.

so lo sucks bro and good for your soul has some really shit filler songs
only a lad is their masterpiece

>good for your soul has some really shit filler songs
wtf? every song there is amazing

Not really. There are some amazing versions that are better than the originals, like Just Another Day, Not My Slave and Gratitude, but the majority of them are better in the debut albums. Mainly it's because Danny sounds so passive aggressive and bored compared to how he used to sound. Listen to Alive's version of Dead or Alive and compare it to the original and you'll see what I mean.

>Who Do You Want To Be
>Wake Up (It's 1984)
>Sweat
>Dead or Alive
>Little Guns
>Good For Your Soul
>shit
Neck yourself, my man.

i said some you retard
good for your souls lyrics are terrible
little guns is terrible and so is pictures of you
this keeps the album from the top spot

>guaranteed pleb filter

insanity is probably the most pseud song ever written to be honest

It's a centrist album then

It's pretty much Yea Forums: the album. There's a song for everything on it.
>pedos
>fetishes
>paranoia
>anti-libs
>anti-authoritarian
>anti-government
>neets
>the world is unfair

I cannot speak for everyone, but Oingo Boingo is pretty fucking rad.

Little Girls is a great song but it's way too creepy for them to be mainstream

this album is my jam
