I think the genre has a lot of potential but it's a shame how it's full of Slowdive and My Bloody Valentine copycats.

I got drunk with Ringo Deathstar, My Dead Girlfriend, and Plastic Girl in Closet last night so I'd say I'm doing a lot. They look like they're having a lot of fun doing what they do, so at least in Tokyo I'd say shoegaze is pretty safe.

Nothing memorable during the show. But Yuki (my dead girlfriend singer) gave me a free shirt and a hug. He likes to call everyone his older sister, very funny guy. Plastic Girl in Closet is super cool, I kept telling him that they're pretty famous in the Western fan scene and he's like, "no no no." Every band was just really cool, and you could tell that they love playing up there, even if it's just as a hobby.
I left my backpack with my camera and glasses at the venue, so that's memorable.
