Why is this mixtape so good?

And why are Yung Lean's other albums so lackluster compared to this one?

nah it's good but lean peaked on unknown memory. it's been all downhill from there

Imagine thinking Poison Ivy isn’t one of his best projects in years

Finally someone fucking agrees with me.
This is honestly the greatest album of his discography, and cloud rap in general.
It is has the greatest production ever, and the songs Gatorade, Princess Daisy, Getting Benjamins, Solarflare, Oceans 2001, Emails, and Nitevision are the greatest he has ever made. You can listen to the songs at any time and they just feel so good.
Based.

To be fair, everything else he made in 2013 was also great. Lavender EP, Kyoto, Marble Phone, etc. Then he started to drift away from the aesthetic, thinking that his rap skills was made him and not the vibe from the holy combination of good vaporwave production + dreamy half-retarded vocals.

Up in the sky tryna elevate

It's the producers

would u *smash* yung leans sister?

I'd smash that Thotiana but not raw

extremly creative and unique album at that time, created by young teens trying to start a new music wave. leans new albums are just overproduced trap songs

this
