the most overrated metal album.

In general? I'm sure someone's made good music since Master of Puppets

The Black Album is better.

Nah, everything up to and including The Black Album is above average at best.

The rest of their discography is garbage, though.

Best album comin through

AJFA is garbage?

Yes and no
It´s complicated son

AJFA is amazing.

It's the mix that's garbage. The bass guitar is nonexistent.

>It's the mix that's garbage

It is, but it also provides this bitter, desiccated atmosphere that I feel suits the material.

You clearly haven't listened to the same album I have. It's borderline prog metal.

Metallica is one of those bands that you get into when you're young and interested in metal and want to learn Master of Puppets on guitar because you don't know any other bands yet, but then realize later that the group is a very mediocre and paint-by-numbers regurgitation that is comprised of a lineup of average-at-best musicians, with the only good members of which either fired, or killed (which they hamstrung their only decent record's production out of spite), all the while having one of the most derivative, mindless and vapid lead guitarists ever known to write a solo and an extremely milquetoast and forgettable drummer.

>implying prog metal cannot be chugga chugga monotone shouting for 9 minutes

It helps to listen to more than one song on the album.

I disagree. I've been listening to metal since the 90's and during that time have delved into every significant style at some point in time starting from the very beginning with Black Sabbath. I have heard countless albums from countless bands in different sub genres, and I still say Metallica were some of the best to ever do it.

I'll never forget a single song from any of their classic releases, no matter how long it's been since I last played them. There are A LOT of bands who's albums I listened to many times and to this day I don't remember them unless I put the album back on.

that's basically every song. with fast thrash sections in a few. harvester of sorrow is the most awful metallica thrash song, actual proto-pantera groove shite

Harvester Of Sorrow isn't a thrash song.

lmao dumbass

Well, you got your opinion. It's a shit opinion, but it's yours.

what a bunch of faggots
bands like this disconfort people to tell publicly they like rock music.

DESU, Hardwired has some pretty sick cuts

What the hell is your problem man? They're all cool dudes. What could possibly make you upset

Fag

It may be a surprise to you but guys in bands aren't tough and macho, you actually have to be a good person to be in a band, considerate, empathetic, not a snivelling dickhead such as yourself

No, Outlaw Torn is their best song

Agreed, regardless of genre, when you can make an ear worm, you are worthy

sure thing user

Thrash metal fucking sucks, Ride The Lightning is the only good Metallica album and it's still not that good
