These threads only work with the post after yours you idiot. And you can't post links in the OP. You have to wait for someone to post and start the game yourself. Otherwise it becomes a shitshow with multiple people rating the same song.
That said, I'll give those a 0/10.
I don't care for Japanese music and the second one gets a 0 on pure principle since they're from Lyon.
>I don't care for Japanese music
Not my problem.
>0 on pure principle since they're from Lyon
Could you tell me more? Seriously interested as to why that's a problem.
Also, how 'bout this?
youtu.be
Lyonnais somehow manage to have both a victim as well as a superiority complex. It's pretty impressive desu. Pretentious cunts.
How would you rate this?
youtu.be
youtu.be
Also, post some songs, dammit!
I'M SO LONELY AND HORNY AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
I fucking hate this stupid art hoe bitch and her shit taste in everything
What's the music for that feel?
she's ugly
Meh. 4/10. That kind of Indie shit isn't my style, and that's no exception. Plodding, boring riffs and a singer who sounds like he'd rather be anywhere than in that studio playing.
This might appeal to you, though. I caught this by way of a podcast and found it neat:
youtu.be
6/10 would work for a movie credits scene
youtube.com
Ugh, definitely not my style. I just find most Indie music to be too wussy and whiny even if the tone is ostensibly joyful or peppy. 3/10.
Just to ruffle some feathers and keep this thread going:

Post some songs, you fucking faggots.

8/10 I love euro proto punk
youtube.com
Pretty neat/10.
I'll admit I'm not terribly familiar with Bowie's material outside of his singles, but this is cool. "Rebel Rebel" is my favorite song from Bowie. I know, predictable.
Thoughts on this?

I'm 30 seconds in and I don't know what to think, I like the jangling guitars but I don't like the bass that is just now coming in. What genre is this? I'll give a rating out of 10 when it's over
5.5/10 it was alright but not really my thing
The song is a mix of Neofolk and Martial Industrial with some obvious Darkwave influences.
The whole album is mostly Industrial Rock with Martial Industrial/Darkwave influences with a couple of Neofolk songs. One of my favorite bands, actually.
This right here is the highlight for me:
youtu.be
8/10 It's the kind I like
Reminds me of New Order or perhaps a synthy Joy Division. I'm not a fan of the Indie sensibilities in the guitar tone, but Spanish works so much better with this style of music than English.
7/10. I'm warming up to this.
Depending on how you feel about Psychedelic Rock with Prog / Space Rock influences, give this a go:

I love the more chilled out Morrissey songs like this compared to this other songs that are too anthemic.
MORRISSEY RIDES A COCKHORSE!
youtu.be
y-you guys skipped my song
Too fruity for me. The pianos are the only thing remotely interesting. 4/10.
youtu.be
Too "gimmicky" sounding if that makes any sense. Probably gets better with multiple listens.
youtube.com
Boring buttrock. Probably 14 years old
Nice. I like the distorted atmosphere on this one. Needa check these guys out
Well, it's good. Not very unique though. Everyones been posting this album alot lately
Not a fan. I can't properly judge it since i'm just not into this kind of sound in the first place
Damn this takes me back. Good shit
Not Bowie's greatest days...
Great instrumental but that guy needs to practice his vocals
Screams "le quirky indie band"
Not bad, but I prefer Post-Hardcore a little more energetic.

Holy shit, this is from 1972? It sounds like indie rock straight out of 2010. I really like it, 9/10.
youtu.be
Huh, they're from Boston and yet I slept completely on this. Shame on me.
Song is totally not my style, but I went to RYM to check them out and they're described as Proto-Punk. I might check out that album since that song seems to be the exception to the basis of their sound.
I wish I knew what they were saying/10
It reminded of the Rolling Stones a little.
Not my style in the least. Can't really rate because this is too plodding and dull for me.
By the way, what genre is this supposed to be? The game was a generic Tekken clone, but the soundtrack really stuck out to me:
youtu.be
A fucking classic, brings back some good memories of sitting in my room all summer shitposting on Yea Forums.
J-rock always has the video game type sound. I like it.
Great track, never heard it before and I'm pleasantly surprised
youtube.com
I like this, it's really catchy 8/10
youtu.be
Never was too deep into The Avalanches, but "Frontier Psychiatrist" is a neat song.
Eh, it's okay. Not really my style, but whatever.
Pretty neat/10. Not sure how to rate it because Shoegaze isn't my go-to, but I'm not opposed to it.
Liking what I'm hearing so far/10.

Totally not my style/10. Ugh.
>ugh
Didn't mean to inconvenience you
Hey, don't sweat it. We're all sharing music.
This is perhaps the most Indie music I've ever listened to in one sitting. Interesting to see what makes Yea Forumstants tick. I admittedly avoid shit that attracts bugmen, so that filters out 99% of what passes for Indie Rock. Occasionally, something interesting will crop up, but it's incredibly rare for me.
Is this hardcore punk? Whoever the subgenre I love stuff like this.
Meant to post this
This song is Post-Hardcore, but the bulk of the album is straight up Hardcore with skinhead Oi! influences:
youtu.be
Okay/10. Not really that deep into Chanson, so this isn't my style.
Any thoughts on this?
Never heard of it before but just on first listen I like it. The first song is cool.
Eh, none of these songs are terribly interesting.

Not my style at all. The trumpet made it worse.
Glad you thought it was neat. Towards the end of the project's life, Aude really shifted towards a much heavier sound. I kinda like the last two songs she recorded better than most of her Alt/Dream Pop/Indie Rock stuff, but I like some of it:

>Oppenheimer Analysis
This is my favorite song from them:

Fuck, that second song rocked. I guess I'm a Nazi now.
Day of the Sword has some interesting history. Scott Stedeford is currently doing time for bank robberies he did with the Aryan Republican Army. Those guys apparently netted six-figures worth of money in all their heists. The money was never found.

8/10
I liked it the melody and the instrumentation, but I felt it was trying a bit hard to be "weird" when it had a solid melody and basic structure that would have worked played a bit straighter. But that's just my opinion, I still dug it. Liked the build up, too. The Mission Impossible quote was a bit much, though.
Anyway, that song is pretty neat. Not exactly my idea of Industrial, but cool all the same.
Ooh, really loving this.
Any thoughts on this, gentlemen?
If you're more openminded, here's a folk song about The Troubles, old and new:
youtu.be
youtu.be
British soldier from Liverpool
Just a boy of nineteen
IRA snipers aim was true
The shot was short and clean
Masked men of orange
Red Hand commandos
Bomb three dead in a pub
Revenge is all they know
Daddy´s little girl
Sent for milk by her mother
To be killed at age twelve
The plastic bullet slays another
(chorus)
The children weep the tears
Of a blood stained emerald
All the funerals through the years
Blood stained emerald
The children weep the tears
Of a blood stained emerald
All the funerals through the years
Blood stained emerald
Have mercy on the Irish
In Northern Ireland
Armored cars are all around
And deadly bombs in London town
IRA - UDA
SAS - it´s all a mess
Brothers with different names
Playing Mason and commie games
It´s whites killing whites
Catholic or protestant
The same blood the same face
Of the beautiful Celtic race
(chorus)
Murder for a border line
Still the feud of '94
Children blown away by a mine
Stop this obscene war
Bury the bad traditions
Settle the church divisions
(chorus)
Hear their cry for peace
A truce for unity
The harps and pipes echo
In Belfast and Derry City
Once foes now come together
Racial kinsman are forever
Irish unity, Christian unity,
Irish unity is white unity.
White unity.
It doesn't have to be, but it's the only way to calmly discuss the genre without the thread getting derailed into interminable discussions about the ethics of posting right-wing music.
Everybody knows and loves Nokturnal Mortum. I liked their first few releases, but I lost interest afterwards.

Who is it anyway?
wanabe new wave shit made in 20 seconds with an 808 and imitating Lou reed.
no creativity/10
Care to point out which song on that full album?
dank meme 2/10
Not bad my man, thought the fuzzy guitar and male vocal lead balanced pretty well. Might check this out.
Here’s my song:

Boring, monotonous and uninteresting are words that sprung to mind. He sounds too much like Del for it not to be distracting. Also the stereo reverb sounds terrible.
3/10
Here's my favourite song:

7/10, quite enjoy the upbeat jumpy instrumentals, steady drums and vocals, although it's too short and not varied enough to earn a higher rating.
Here's mine: youtube.com
6.5/10
pretty heavy for the time, not a fan of the pinchy solos
So that's the song from Jackass. Never checked out Minutemen in any capacity.
I prefer Carcass's earlier work, but "Heartwork" is an okay album. The pinchy solos are annoying, though.
Okay. Tends to meander a little, but not bad.
