I made a David Bowie flowchart

I posted this last night but I spent like 3 hours trying to make this work

Low, Blackstar and maybe Outside are his only albums without too many weak songs.
I usually hate this but for Bowie, I would rather advise titles than albums.

That's fair, for most people I would recommend listening to a best of album and see what kind of style do you like but this is for people who want to get into it like a fan

>Blackstar isn't really there

Make a Primus chart niggus

Just listen in release order.

I don't suggest that, 60% of Bowie's music is stinky

That's a matter of opinion, and his sucks build on previous albums. I can't imagine listening to Station to Station before listening to Young Americans. Part of the fun of Bowie is seeing noticeable evolution and chronology in his music.

I guess so in certain aspects of his career, but you can live without listening to his first album or the shitty mid 80s ones

drum machine Bowie is my favourite new meemay

Ok I'll make it easier for you brats

>White Boomer
Ziggy Stardust
Space Oddity
Man Who Sold The World
The Next Day
>Black Boomer
Young Americans
Let's Dance
Labyrinth Ost
Alladin Sane
>Asian Nu-Male
Low
Heroes
Station To Station
Drum And Bass shit
>Latino and Native American Boomers
whole discog except the 90's shit
>white, black, latino zoomer
skip on to Frank Ocean or some shit

Outside is not only "more Eno", it's where his song writing peaks.

that line of coke is a nice touch

Yeah but I never implied if any of the albums were good or not, I only implied that Tonight/Let Me Down/Hours/Pin Ups were bad

Just have a blank picture except for a sentence saying to ignore Bowie's discography. Done.

Go back flirting with kids, Piero.

This is Bowie's best song hands down

Don't know his music that much but good job I like it. I think I'm down down right up.

Really well made, good job! :)

Thank you, appreciate it
That's a good choice

Asian nu-male is best taste and everything else is shit

A valiant effort but not sure about the link between Black Tie White Noise and Buddha of Suburbia other the fact they came out around the same time. They don't really sound alike (Buddha is probably my favourite 90s Bowie)

Pretty good. If I could offer some improvements:

1. Don't suggest they go from Lodger to Outside. That's gonna be a pretty jarring tonal shift at best. Just because they both had Brian Eno doesn't mean they're comparable. I'd say do Lodger to Scary Monsters, and then maybe go from either Heroes or TMWSTW to Outside

2. > Black Tie White Noise
>Refreshing

3. Connect TMWSTW to Diamond Dogs, as they're more similar to each other than Aladdin Sane and TMWSTW

4. Give his first album more love, god damnit.

5. Connect Lodger to either Heathen or Reality.

6. Make it clear that Pin Ups isn't really a 'Bowie Album' as it were.

The Laughing Gnome is a Bowie Masterpiece

Has anyone actually used a flowchart to get into an artist or genre?

Almost all of those are valid points but it's very hard to connect outside with anything because it's so different from everything else, so the Eno experimentalism was the closest I can do

Black Tie White Noise is refreshing compared to Tonight Let's Dance

I could have said much much worse about his first album, I didn't even say good things about my favourite albums here

Sure Pin Ups wasn't a "Bowie album" but it's still considered canon
