Not everyone struggles with vocals and singing at the same time. I agree to a certain degree that the live performances are more about the dance element than the vocals and backing tracks can effectively cover a ton of sins but groups should also be able to sing with live vocals or at least do a down tempo live vocal song periodically. They don't have to go full Mamamoo/RV/TTS level but at least something solid.

Because starving idols is much cheaper than making them fit through aerobics/weight training/proper nutrition. Eventually the metabolism of the girls slow down and many girls turn to fitness as a way to staying capable of performing at a high level while also maintaining a nice figure but a lot fizzle out before their 7 year initial contract ends.

Definitely a major improvement on Twice's encores but that's not surprising with Chaeryeong and Yeji being fit. Chaeyeon and Eunbi on Izone are also pretty stable.
I knew Ryujin's vocals were weak but I'm surprised that Yena has stronger vocals than Lia even if Lia probably has more range. But she's got a much better tone and technique. Feels similar to how Jeongyeon often has better stability and tone than Nayeon and Jihyo despite getting way less lines.

75% of kpop fans in the West are too young to have a job to have their own money to buy albums regularly.
Physicals sell well in korea because korea already has a culture of buying physicals. When was the last time a western artist sold a physical cd album and it sold well?
No one uses cds anymore for anything, everything is digital.
Western artists make equivalent album sales through streams because no one wants to have the burden of having a physical copy of an album anymore when they can just stream it or download it.

Yeah BP and RV and Gfriend get 90K+ but the reality is that for most girl groups having a digital hit is more important because it drives CF money. Look at RV post RF and how Irene started getting an even more ridiculous number of CFs. Look at Momoland who still sell aroung 10k albums which isn't even worth the cost of producing an album but they've shot up the rankings past all the post IOI groups except for WJSN.
Not to say there aren't a small number of girl groups that focus on physicals and core fandoms like Dreamcatcher but those are sort of the exception.

I don't think Slug or Wendy can match their success but I do think they can develop solid loyal fandoms.
