This is old, like 8 years or something. (I just uploaded it recently). Meaning i got better at producing and am currently working on a full length ambient techno/glitch album. If you wanna bash me on release, just sub to the channel or watch it. I like Jamie's album and he is a good producer, but some of his songs are a bit too flat imo.
also I should add the new album will be under a new name, but that will be explained in the video description
is the baseline in the same time signature as everything else? its kind of annoying. but i like it for the most part. obv not as good as jamie xx but not bad either
Yea Forums should be forbidden to talk about electronic music in general. what the fuck are you even on about. are you actually serious?
What do you mean like 4/4? I mean it should be? I get what your saying tho about the Bassline. What are your thoughts in Boards of Canada as producers?
they are great. cozy beats. i like m83's earlier stuff more tho
But do you honestly think Jamie XX is a better producer than them? Hes good and all, but creative-wise and regarding sound design and creativity and atmosphere he doesnt come near them
yes i think he uses more interesting sounds and plays with space more. Listen to this song from 1:40 onwards
Rick Rubin
>falling for this shitty bait so he posts his shitty beat
I agree thats really amazing. More impressive than what he did on his colors album (or whatever it was called) however.
Would you be interested in listening to my debut and give some feedback on it upon release (in about 1-2 months)? Since you know some stuff about production. (Then add me on discord please PaxMayne#1252 or leave your email.)
It's a good beat, shut up
Lindstrom
This is my personal favourite track by him:

Amazing melodies and texture.
Also man you are really under rating In Color. Maybe you just can't hear the subtleties
Pantha Du Prince
that ass in that video is quite possibly the nicest ass ever.
cal·li·pyg·i·an
/ˌkaləˈpijēən/
having well-shaped buttocks.
thats cool but not that impressive in my opinion. Mura Masa is a better Producer as well btw:

Flying Lotus:

Love$ick by Mura Masa sounds like something Macklemore would rap over...
Well thats not the only song ive posted.
I'll give you flying lotus, even though I'm not a huge fan of his myself.
Mura Masa is nice but quite generic. He also can't put a project together, soundtrack to death was close but it gets boring and samey.
I don't listen to cashmere cat and I don't plan on it after listening to that song lmao
That nuages song was literally babby's first ambient
Give global communication a shot
Remember the Harlem Shake? That dude is a really good producer:

I agree about aphex twin and krawftwerk but the harlem shake guy is average at best
>babby's first ambient
It's simple but effective, just like Jamie's stuff. Music doesnt have to be complex to be good.
Do you produce?
I messed around in highschool but i was never any good
Brian Eno
Thomas Dolby
Kevin Shields
Jim O’ Rourke
Phil Spector
Nigel Godrich
Kanye West
Madlib
Arca
Sonic Boom
Efrim Menuck
Want me to list 30 more?
well if you ever wanna get into it again i can give some tips
arca is always so messy
thats actually pretty decent!
I have to disagree. That song is gimmicky and cliche. Also I didn't say anything about the complexity.

Baauer has never made anything close in quality to In Color. Bonobo is pretty middle of the road as well. I'm getting the impression you haven't really dove into electronic music as much as you should to be a skilled producer. Or at least you don't pay close attention to what you're listening to
Literally who, the complete collection
Black metal, Pagan metal and RAC's greatest, that is.
George Martin.
o i am laffin
not him but
> more interesting sounds and plays with space more
the most interesting sound i heard there were the vocal chops and that's nothing new. the space trick is just binaural panning, plenty of people do it nowadays including myself.
here's a rec for both of you

I was talking about his sound palette (the sounds he chooses to use and not use) when I said “interesting sounds.” He isn’t necessarily doing anything new technically, just artistically. He makes the sound his own and it has a lot of personality.
thanks dude! (Sub to the Channel if you wanna listen to my debut album upon release ;^P )
