This tbh, for a good experience play 4, 5, then 6. The difficulty increases with each one and you'll have already taken the redpill on how to not be shit at the game by the time you get to 6 and it'll be more fun.
2 is shit and 3 will give you tendonitis.

It's fun but it's the difficulty that makes it fun, having the difficulty of Touhou make you go insane until you're having borderline religious experience dodging bullets is the fun.

i have to agree with this, it puts you in a trancelike state of focus sometimes and your clear mind makes you forget what the fug you're doing while your body takes over and if you start thinking about it again then you fug up and also i've had the same level of insightful revelations while playing 2hu as i have while meditating
