You are confusing predictions made by talking heads before the election with projections made on election night. The former are worthless, just somebdy's opinions. No, this is the series of primaries and election that chose regular delegates to the Democrat convention. There they will vote for the party's nominees for President and VP. The first time the vote, that is the first ballot at the convention. in which the Superdelegates cannot vote. There has never been a need for a second ballot at either party's convention since 1952, when both Eisenhour and Stevenson were selected after multiple ballots.
