I know no person will say that they are "rich" including millionaires, to stay low profile

I know no person will say that they are "rich" including millionaires, to stay low profile

But could any legit richfag here actually open up and share your lifestyle?

Bragging aside what is your life like?

I don't know if I'm considered rich. I cleared $190k last year and about $40k in sports betting. My total worth is somewhere around $400k.

It's really easy. You just mostly don't have to worry about stuff. I can always put gas in my car. Never worry about rent. Never worry about eating out. It's all really easy. Money mostly just makes it so you don't have to worry about stuff.

It also allows me to make more money. I can afford to just leave a few thousand dollars here and there sitting waiting for things to appreciate in value.

After about $80k it's really easy living.

between my wife and I we're both knocking on millionaire status. About 1100k in stocks, 300k in house 300k in cash

we've dated since 23, now 30 and 32. I work in software making about 125k, shes in design making around 100-120 depending on bonuses. We live in a 3 bedroom 2.5 bath house in a suburb about 30 minutes from a major metro area. I drive a 2012 honda accord, she has a 2016 ford explorer.

We save around 60% of our income and have maxed 401ks and IRAs since college. Yeah its really boring but the big secret is just make a reasonable amount of money, don't spend much, and let time pass. Both of us got 4 year degrees from good schools trying to minimize student loans.

AMA, i might even answer.

I guess follow up on what we don't do is probably as important as what we do. We take a vacation yearly alternating between big trips and little. We did Chicago last year this year we we're planning on China for 3 weeks but the cornoa virus shut that down. We do a date night once we week, mostly at boring 20 dollar per person restaurants. We both brown bag a lunch 4-5 days a week.

I'm not a millionaire but if I was I would make shit threads like this reddit tier one and laugh at all the liars. Wait are u rich op?

What state you live in? Hopefully not those tax crazy ones like New York or New Jersey

I am not American but i imagine cheap cities like Memphis can make you feel wealthier.

Especially countries like Indonesia, everybody will feel rich there. Food and beer costs like nothing

I only make about 250k but I buy whatever I want when I want.
I own two businesses and work less than 20 hours a week.
Haven’t set an alarm for morning wake up in years

Pretty much dead middle of the road tax wise. if I could live somewhere with no income taxes and equivalent property / insurance rates I could probably save another 15k a year.

on paper im a millionaire. im making a bit over 6 figures, spending probably 50k a year and have saved about the other half for about 20 years now.

the best advice i ever got:
1. don't get married if you don't want kids
2. if you do get married agree on religion, politics, and money
3. avoid lifestyle creep. save 66% of every raise and you'll retire rich.

seems to be working so far unless something fucks it up im about 20 years down 10 to go before retirement.

My total is about $500k, it might not be much in the US, but in my country I'm considered wealthy. I don't live extraordinary life. Go abroad once or twice a year, drive 6 yo car, finished building my house last year, planning kids with my fiance. What I like about my life is that I dont have to worry about money and any unexpected events. That's it. Oh, I also like vidya games, so I occasionally spend some cash on new releases for my XO (which doesn't happen too often lol)

lifestyle wise, i guess the average american that makes 50k and doesn't save anything? the difference being i make more and save some? i rent a nice 2 bed 2 bath with no room mate, which i could add if money got tight. otherwise just normal stuff, pizza and beer friday, i never worry about utilities or what i set the heat or cool numbers to. i never worry about healthcare costs because im covered. ive got enough in the bank if i got fired tomorrow it'd suck but not really impact my life for 9-12 months.

what do you mean when you ask whats your life like what do you mean? i live mostly like i did in college 20 years ago. nicer apartment and no room mates, but the same 15 year old shitbox car. same 40-50 hour weeks. the notable difference is im not stressed about finances or making rent or getting ill.

Do you think about kys?
Honestly you basically did everything thing in life you wanted.

I began working at a start up company that got pretty big in the states when I was 22. Worked there for 10 years and stuck out with them and helped them grow. About 6-7 years in I became a vital part of a department and started racking in the big bucks. I also owned 2.5% of the company. A huge competitor bought us out as we were threatening their brand and made my millions.
Didn't go to college
Got lucky sticking with a start up
Got lucky they were bought out.

fuck off poser

What is your daily routine?

Currently a Senior Manager for Big4 in Chicago. I don't claim to be rich, and I certainly don't live like it.

Before tax, I bring in close to 180k. I don't own a car, use public transportation, and pretty much save close to 40% of my paycheck.

I value retirement and I'm trying to retire in ~6-8 years. Currently at a networth of ~1.8MM. Some of this due to inheritance, but most of it due to retirement accounts.

I don't know man. I just live frugally. The only things I spend money on are nice clothes and when I initially bought my condo. Otherwise I live like I'm middle class.

Note: although not married, gf makes 100k, but has no savings... shes fucked lmao

This guy got it right. Me and my family have been in the restaurant business for 3 decades. Worked our assess off.Making branch after branch. Mo money mo problems right?only if you keep investing and keep making money grow, which is never an easy thing. Financially wise though, you never habe to worry about things like spending your money on basic necessities. Even leisure items. Just don't go buy a new car everyweek and you're set. Basically normal things people spend on, you usually don't have to think twice because you've got a disposable income. The focus is growing your money more. That's where the problem arises.

not much these days. the perception of money is funny. for example over the last 2 years both my grandparents whom i was very close with have passed away.

its not any easier to cope with losing them, but at least on top of that i have vacation days i can use and can just book the hotel without worrying about that side of it.

i haven't found that money has made my life any more meaningful. sure it feels good to give wikipedia a donation every year for a tax write out because i believe the dissemination of knowledge for free is a good thing, but is that meaning? i dont think so.

money just removes every day stresses. its hot and your utility bill is triple what is usually is? who cares just pay it, i'll sit at a nice cool 70 degrees. when i was a kid that stuff was a big deal. you got in the shower, soaped up, and rinsed quick because that just wasn't money my parents could pay an extra 50 bucks a months on to have us standing there paying for hot water.

Family income 500k/year, net worth around 4M.
I drive a mazda, my kids go to public school, I cook my own meals, my wife makes more than I do and is great in bed. I have no need to spend more than I do because I have everything I want. I have no idea what my checking account balance is but I know there's enough to pay for anything I'd want to get.

>It's really easy. You just mostly don't have to worry about stuff. I can always put gas in my car. Never worry about rent. Never worry about eating out. It's all really easy. Money mostly just makes it so you don't have to worry about stuff.
i have the same lifestyle and i'm on welfare... glad to hear i'm not missing out and have ton of spare time

Since we are on the internet I can be whatever I want including rich.

It's easy, really. Stop being poor and work harder. Stop being a bitch and fuck your boss for a better position. Easy as cum in your mouth.

so you making money and saving vast majority of it? why? what do you need this money for later? seems very weird lifestyle tbh

Why don't you dweebs have children?

so can one of you Richie Riches buy me some Balenciaga or what

i'll retire at 40-45 and hopefully live to 85 without ever having to work again.

I'm certainly not willing to trade working another 20 or 30 years so i drive some car i dont care about to impress people i don't even like.

simply put i dont see anything im missing out on doing that. a newer car? a bigger house when i use the same 3 rooms everyday in the one i have? a nicer watch?

No one in this thread is rich do you want to know why? Only 1% of the population hold a majority wealth the other 99% are led to believe they have wealth so the 1% can have their agenda passed.

stfu

How about the creeping dread that you're setting yourself up to die childless and alone?

I'm not rich but decided to post anyways lol. I'm 21 years old and before taxes I make around $30k. Pocket change to most of you but it's enough to support me and my boyfriend fairly comfortably until he graduates in May. I don't live paycheck to paycheck, most of my money goes into savings with the intent of buying a small property to start off with and rent and we finally get our own permanent place. I just work at a credit union now as a teller/loan officer but I have plans to own my own business someday that I've already got in the works. Love reading advice on how you guys made it where you are today!!

so you working though your 20-30-40s to live your life after your 45? this is fucked up

Disinfo whore you are not fooling anyone, you probably belive the coronavirus is real what a chad.

gay poorfag lol

i don't care. don't get me wrong if you want kids great, lets have as many smart people as want them to have them.

the damage done by unwanted children is far greater than the damage done by never having them in the first place.

>but muh evolution

ok champ you go blow your load in 250 women and see how it works out for you.

>living 18-30 to slave away 30-90 under socalism

wew lad

idk man, i've lived in a lot of other countries, and being poor in the USA is a lot more difficult than being poor in a 3rd world country.

however, there's a huge difference between working poor and dying on the street poor.

My best friend is a multi-millionaire who retired young from the financial field.
He married a smoking hot wife, who pumped out two kids and then divorced him. Half of his money went to her, and she wasted it on booze, drugs, and taking her friends traveling.
His daughters dropped out of private school and don't do anything, because they don't have to. He pays for their party lifestyle as they relocate every 6 months from city to city. The idea is always that they are there for a fresh start, going to get a job and re-enroll in school, but everyone knows it's just a continuation of the party.
He still has to take care of the ex-wife financially because if he doesn't, she doesn't do her part to take care of the kids, so then he has to get involved in that too.
Really, more money more problems. The happiest people I know are ones who make just enough to live comfortably, but not so much that they have to sweat about keeping a high-paying job, working long hours, fretting about investments and the market, etc.

uh I lurk and get shit on when I post but I married into a rich family (gf) of billionaire networth who is also an only child

it's allowed me to network into high paying jobs (we dated since 22) and i clear 2m+ post tax a year in asset management (manage over 500m). we share two houses in ibiza with a lil boat, have several houses all over the world, work out of NYC and London

we are comfortable and have gradually learned to stick with the simple things we both appeciate:

warm weather (shit work location lol), helping friends where we can, and seeing family

I see the mad poors are out in droves. If you don't have a plan to be totally off grid in 10 years to avoid the inevitable collapse of the US as socialism takes a strangle hold, you're the real idiot here. I feel bad for the younger people who didn't even have the chance to see it coming.

If you're poor in the US, you still have access to amenities. If you're poor in a 3rd world country, you physically and literally have nothing.

Nothing to do with evolution dude having children is literally the meaning of life. Nothing has filled my heart with joy and love the way my son has. Without him this world is literally worthless to me.

What's lifestyle creep?

not them, but its the idea that naturally as you make more money you spend more money. instead of having a 5$ lunch it becomes 10$ then 15$, same for apartment, car, cable and such. in part because you feel you can afford it, and in part because your normal shifts to be what other people are you have and do.

45 yo engineer here
Job Income is roughly 200k$ A year and I have 3.6mil invested in real estate which also gives me a constant income. I am single so I don’t have to worry about family. Right now I live in a nice 3 bedroom family house with a swimming pool and a tennis field but I am building an 8 bedroom villa. I’m probably not going to live there permanently but I’ll stay there until I will find someone who can pay rent for that. I drive a Porsche Cayenne Diesel, have a boat, mountain chalet in the alps and can travel pretty much wherever I want. I have no major worries but this also means I get bored very easily and I always have to do something to keep me occupied. When I retire I’m thinking of opening a bike shop just for the fun of it.

Not a rich fag, but I worked for a rich fag. Dude grew up poor working fast food. Climbed the ladder and eventually got a loan to buy a franchise. He now owns like 20 different stores but he still drives beat up 10 year old car. His kids are spoiled, but he is a pretty humble and alright guy honestly. He'd even throw on gloves and an apron when he would make the rounds through the different stores if things got busy.

90? i'm not planing on living after 55... life would be shit anyway, i'm mid 30s now living strong and DGAF about anything ... even if this only lasts till 40 i still got the better end of the deal... i already feel like best part of my vigor is done

help me out the 9-5 life bruvs

now thats based

lifestyle diet and exercise do that. not to mention smoking or drugs.

I was a fat ass, low energy didn't care at all about anything NEET at 20. I now eat clean, workout and feel a ton better in my mid 30s.

Smart people having less ans less kids. It paints a dark future for humanity.

here I am at 25, struggling to find work in my shitty little rural town
I'm taking two college classes just for something to do with spare money I was able to pull together.
thinking about walking away from it all. go to a major city and try something new after I finish this semester. must be fucking nice going to school full time on someone else's dime.

Me & my wife have 3.5 mil in the bank. House paid for ,10,000 sf warehouse paid for where I run my company. High school drop out in the 80's and very poor . In 85 I had 300.00 in the bank - pay check to paycheck . I worked my ass off and saved and saved. learned a lot of things at the place I worked for 17 years . after starting my company we made one mil in 10 months ,and better every year after that. So for the last 10 years or so I can walk in a car dealer and pay cash for any car I want - go any place we want around the world . 1,000 hookers have great tits too . I don't have to worry about anything,or anybody . last year we sold over 3 mil,and I made 985,000.00 .I owe nobody anything - I built this company all on my own hard work and fuckin brains - and I did make some ballsy decisions over the years that have paid off in more profit . You wanna be rich ? Stop being lazy .

Can some richfag adopt me

It's nice to not have to worry about the price of stuff. I mostly just grab whatever I want when I'm shopping and hardly ever check the price. Feels good man.

Wtf city do you live in? I make 60k a year and and girl makes 42k a year and we struggle.

>struggling to find work in my shitty little rural town
This is exactly the problem.
You know why people from the US midwest hate New Yorkers and Californians?
Because those places are filled with all the people from the midwest that actually studied in school, saved up, and made the sacrifice to move away from home to build a better life somewhere with more opportunity.
These people hate the fact that they made the wrong choices in life, but of course won't admit it to themselves, so they project that onto the people who had the guts to make a change.

>You wanna be rich ? Stop being lazy .
Protip: it takes much more than hard work to be rich, or lots of people would be.

Attached: shutterstock_747632842-min.jpg (1000x667, 151K)

Why is your house so cheap? Im from Texas and I know how cheap housing is where at, but 300k doesn't get anything fantastic.

To be rich you have to be cunning

You struggle, but I bet if you took inventory, you'd find that you and your girl:
>have modern smart phones
>have laptops or tablets
>have recent cars
>live in a place with modern bathrooms and granite countertops
>pay for an internet plan
>have multiple subscription services
>frequently eat out or have food delivered
>buy energy drink/starbucks/etc/ regularly
and I haven't even mentioned cars/insurance

The people I see who are struggling are actually saying, I waste away so much of my money on conveniences I see other people enjoying that there's nothing left for the important things

Thats called luck bud, and capitalism. You made money and invested it further. Im not a socialist I advocate capitalism. But you cant say someone is lazy for not investing their hard earned money wisely. But either way good on you buddy for doing well in life, cheers.

Paul is that you?

>You know why people from the US midwest hate New Yorkers and Californians?
you assume too much of me.
you scold people who struggle for living the way they do, and give zero credit for when they try to better themselves. I collect zero welfare. absolutely zero. never have, never will.

I was just diagnosed with keratoconus. I have to spend 2.5-5k per eye just to prevent the condition from getting worse, and another 1.5-3k per eye for specially made hard-contact lenses. I have adult asthma as well. my job prospects are already somewhat narrowed. I have never been late to a job in my life and have worked construction, retail, logistics, warehouse and tech support.
I want to work. I want to change. I'm going to change things. but I didn't have shit handed to me. simply getting up and moving to another city is not an option. I have to plan out where I am going to live and secure a job. go ahead. search jobs in eagle lake, sealy, columbus TX. you'll see that they are either
1. fake
2. bullshit app jobs
3. CDL crap
I am going to school just to do something. I want to be a nurse.

>and I haven't even mentioned cars/insurance

>have laptops or tablets
>have recent cars

fucking brainlet

no. to be rich, you have to save.

>you assume too much of me.
>have worked construction, retail, logistics, warehouse and tech support
actually, I think I nailed it.
these are jobs, not careers. They're not going to get you anywhere.

...no shit
I want a job because it leads to a career. you're intentionally not reading anything I say so why bother?
I wish i would just fucking shoot you tbh.

>I wish i would just fucking shoot you tbh.
nailed it. You blame other people for the failures in your own life.

all I asked for was advice.
you see someone struggling and see them as prey.
call me anything but you're scum and you know it.

I personally am not rich, but my parents sure as hell are. The first condo they bought was in a luxury building with a towncar that would take them anywhere in the city. Now they own a super luxurious condo in Florida. My grandma was also rich to and after she passed I found out that when I turn 35 I'll inherit at least 900k from her alone. After my parents pass (whenever that is, no time soon thankfully) i'll probably inherit at least 2 mil maybe

Okay, here's honest feedback:

Your small town has little opportunity, and it sounds like your family is not rich. So:
>when you were in middle school, high school, what were you studying in order to create opportunities in your life?
>knowing that your parents weren't going to be much help, did you apply yourself and get good grades, good recommendations, etc to earn scholarships to college? Or perhaps paid internships? Or even the military, to get some life experience and real money to open up future opportunities?

I'm sorry, it might be too late for you.
But I want all the underage b& of Yea Forums to see this stuff and think, hey, you know life isn't going to be comfy in adulthood unless I start planning that now.

>you're scum and you know it.
No, I'm not.
I grew up in a small town with very little opportunity.
My dad was a drunk and we kept moving to worse towns, smaller houses, as his jobs failed.
Because I saw that happening as a young teen, I started to study hard in school to find a way out.
And you know what I got from the other small town people? "Nerd, egghead, smart ass, college boy." But I got out of there and made it.
I'm not scum. I just like telling people who are scum that they only have themselves to blame for their situations, and not to blame the "educated elites" who actually applied themselves to change their circumstances.

Hello, fellow family leach.

What type of business?

Cheers friend. To doing jack all and still coming out on top. I assume all the money is being invested by some broker and making more money?

we make industrial products that you would not know about - and I don't want to name them on the chan

I work as a laboror in construction. I struggle to stay afloat in a state not known for putting workers first. Every day I wake up and ask myself why do I keep going on. Shit hurts man. I don't want to live like this guys.
