Morning time. I'm usually not a morning person, but waking up next to my beautiful darling Spinel always fills me with joy and purpose. She's adorable as she sleeps.
My turn to sneak out of bed to make breakfast. I'm preparing hash browns when I hear a scream from the bedroom
"user!"
I drop what I'm doing and rush to the bedroom.
"What's wrong darling?"
She stares at me, eyes full of tears.
"I didn't know where you were" she falls to her knees as the tears roll down her face.
I kneel next to her and hold her.
"Its okay darling, I'm here. I was making breakfast for you."
I hold her as she cries, her face in my chest.
"I will never leave you Spinel"
"I love you user" she chokes out through sobs.
She sniffles, calming down a little
"What're you makin for breakfast?" She asks in a quiet, sad, but cute voice.
"Some pancakes, hash browns, sausage, and eggs"
Her mood lightens, and she smiles
"I love you user." She says it a lot, but it's okay. I like it. I could hear it a thousand times and still want to hear it a thousand times over.
"You can stay in bed while I finish breakfast if you'd like"
"No. I want to be close to yooouuuu!"
Her tears begining to dry from her face, we spend a few more moments in each other's embrace on the bedroom floor. Then she joins be in the kitchen, sitting at the counter and telling me about books she's read and shows she's watched as she watches me cook.
