I spent 2 days (a few weeks ago) trying to contact dozens of vendors, only a few responded, most of the replies were along the lines of "we're in the process of getting the factories back online, will let you know"
Out of all those, only one actually got back to me to let me know they were good to go. I spent quite some time communicating back and forth with them, asking for pics of specific options, and they sent videos. You MUST do this before you order.
You also need to familiarize yourself with the Ali Buyer Protection system and how it works.
Aliexpress claims that they automatically refund if your order isn't shipped within a short period. Familiarize yourself with this system too.
Both buyer protection and processing time can be extended, if initiated within a certain timeframe. Apparently it is much easier to do this then file a dispute after the buyer protection has expired, so beware.
Be aware that their email notification system is spotty at best, and half the time ends up in junk email folder. You need to check in daily to see how your order is going.
