So, I'm Canadian. I vape. Nicotine products require I.D. to buy. If I order online, the mailman needs to see my I.D. and verify that i'm over 18 otherwise he wont give it to me.
Nicotine isnt even dangerous in dosages typically consumed in vape juice and cigarettes. Its just highly addictive. Cigarettes are what kill you. So how is there a vaping crisis in America?

Actually, the smoke of any carbon-based object is going to be littered with CO and CO2 and most likely tons of carcinogens, too. Campfires can be just as carcinogenic, if not worse (depends what you're burning); it's just that you're not trying to inhale the smoke from it...
As for vaping, certain flavorings can indeed come with carcinogens. For example, safrole for centuries was what gave root beer its flavor (and can be used to make MDMA, but that's another discussion)..... In the late 90's, as I recall, it was restricted for being carcinogenic, and removed from food/drink/etc.
So, unless you have an exact chemical breakdown of everything in your vape, you cannot say for certain that what you're inhaling is entirely non-carcinogenic. And we won't even get into wick burns and such...

If youre refering to the deaths in recent weeks, it was likely caused by THC vaping products. If the THC was in oil form, it can cause damage to the lungs. Normal Vaping products don't do this, this is why it hasn't been an issue anywhere else in the world. The flavorings are questionable, but there is no evidence it does any damage to you.

I was under the impression that most of the baby boomers who are trying to legalize weed, invested in the old natural methods so they would get rich once it was legalized. As usual they failed to see how technology would change that and the vaping industry is already invested and primed to take all that cash with THC extract process. There are two different groups within the U.S government that are reacting to this. One of them is talking about banning fruit flavors and telling people it's dangerous. The other one is connecting black market products that were clearly tainted and intentionally lumping it in with vaping in general to destroy the vape industry.

Don't doubt for one second that the tobacco co's that own Blu, Vuse, Juul, et. al. don't have a voice directly into lawmakers' ears. They did it with the strict barriers to entry (licensing, FDA oversight, etc.) in the tobacco market many decades ago, and they're doing it again now; they're legally constructing their own monopoly via lobbying.
