I paid $2000 for this high-end gaming PC, but it's not so fast. Did I get ripped off? =(

Lmao yes, this is awful
obvious shitpost is obvious... irony is that you could easily oc that cpu to 4ghz and the gpu still holds up. nowhere close to worth 2k or even 200.. yet you could find worse parts if you wanna troll :P
This is what happens when you're a sperglord and spend $500 of that on a Windows 10 key.
OMGGGGG YOU GOT SO RIPPED OFF DUUUUDE WHAT A N0000B!!!!!!!!!!11
Yeah, it's a decade old PC I plugged in an SSD into to see if it's still alive, and it runs!
>easily oc that cpu to 4ghz
Disagree with that. Old quads were beasts, but there is noway it could handle that high of an OC. Maybe 3,4-3,6, but 4 would BSOD it for it sure.
plenty of examples on youtube of it. check it out yourself. if it wasnt for the t socket restrictions id probably still run my q9650. :D
Possible, ok. Stable tho? don't think so.
When the hell did you buy this??? 2005???
Around that time I think, yeah. Been using laptops for ages now and dusted off this old grandma for shits and giggles. Runs better than expected tho. Then again, if not used, no real surprise.
Yea Forumsro
try it. push it and run some heavy games. i love old pcs for that purpose alone.
No fucking way, kek. That really legit?
Yes Yea Forumsro, legit!
Installing Witcher 3 right now.
Confused your CPU with an older one, but that is still pretty nice. Runs stable as well?
pretty old game but yeah tanky on ultra. report back how it runs. :)
Still better than my pc. :(
Well it is over 10 year old and yes it's stable at 4.4 @1.5v but won't even boot at anything higher. I just run it 3.8 on stock voltage these days.
Maxed out, it runs like crap. 15-20 FPS. Some fiddling around in settings, high, low LOD distance, steady 40-50 FPS on high, and that is fucking impressive to me! That is not OC'd either btw. You were right in it holding up better than I thought. Although an old game by now, yeah.
That is incredible to me as well! Are you holding on to it because, still got the juice for all you need it for?
Are you poor?
My PC(pic) costs $4700.
For sure not made of money, but I could buy a gaming rig if I wanted to. Just been stuck on using laptops for the last decade and not really gamed much. Convenience of shitposting in bed.
>That is incredible to me as well! Are you holding on to it because, still got the juice for all you need it for?
>pic related
It's just a toy for fun now and a backup for internet use, I like keeping hold of my older shizzle. I have newer computers for my gaming/music and other stuff.
everyone underestimates the quads. :D
that is dope looking
>backup for internet use
Not a bad idea actually. Was planning on frying this, but if my laptop dies I got nothing else handy. Really cool open setup btw!
I know they were good, but yup, better than expected!
That is really awesome, holy shit. That CPU, at 4.4.... at that time it would have been one of the very best CPUs out there for sure. Quads weren't that well accepted in games back then.
Keep it at 3.8 like you've said, it'd be a shame for it to die.
I have a decade old pc, 6gb ddr3 RAM, bulldozer architecture OC'd to 4.3 and a GTS 450. It runs most modern games on medium with a steady 50-60 fps
Tech hasn't actually advanced that much, they've just given you the illusion that it has; the truth is that it's bottlenecked to hell and back.
>that is dope looking
>Really cool open setup btw!
Thanks.
I got it running windows 10 on a Hyper X Fury SSD and powered by a Corsair HX650 now too
You need to spend at least $3000 for a decent computer.
Richfag here. You are a poorfag who is insecure about the fact that he is not a richfag.
You will never be an actual richfag. Cope more making fun of people who are also in the bottom 99% with you.
>bragging about his 4700 dollar PC
Unless you've dropped a minimum of 10k into your rig, you aren't a richfag.
so true. also alot of ppl wont bother or dont even know about ocing. lemme just grab this latest alienware prebuild. take my monetära.

Most of it is a pissing contest anyway, these guys know 8 year old hardware is still viable in the current clime
makes me legimately happy when people realize the potential of their 'old' hardware. like you, you use it to its fullest core. its simple to buy new parts and its nothing wrong with that either, but pushing things to its limits and appreciating it is something i always loved. old cars and old pcs. :D
Bruh who the fuck spends that much on a pc and puts literally zero effort into cable management lol. Your pc looks like shit
