I’ve been hunting every winter for the last 4 years. I shot a young buck last year, followed the trail of blood for 4 hours to the top of a hill, searched all around the hill and in every direction but the fucker disappeared or somebody else got him before I got there

Hunting is much easier now than people had it before. I grew up hunting alot from a very young age. My opinion of hunting has changed the past few years. I believe hunting is okay as long as you use every part of the animal and you need that animal. I dont believe in trophies or any sort of staged hunt. If you cant handle the backcountry by yourself you shouldnt be out there hunting with a guide. No exceptions. No need to limit out if you dont use all the animal. I do believe you need to teach your kids to hunt so they understand what they are eating, how to survive If shit goes down, the power of guns and gun safety. Hunting should never be sport.
