I asked this girl at a Taiwanese bubble tea place for her number, she’s hot af. She said yea sure, but then her boss or someone came out of the back and said something to her in probably mandarin. She said something that sounded like “shen” repeatedly. What does does that mean or is there a word that sounds like that?

Meaning of words and stuff is determined by context and pronunciation (i.e. tones), so unless you got at least half the sentence for us, don't take shit from this thread without a grain of salt

Well tbh Chinese sentence structures still can be boiled down to subject, object, verb etc. like any other language, but I'm pretty sure it's different from spanish and english. There's also some stuff like 了 and small kinks like 的 vs 得 vs 地 (all same meaning but for different contexts), but tbh none of them are as hard as whatever the fuck is going on with english spelling (subject verb agreement, ie vs ei, its and it's, pronoun misplacement, etc.) or spanishfags (feminine vs masculine, nosotros vs vosotros) so you should be fine.
