Could try a popsicle stick. Usually dont need a lot of pressure to pop one out. If not, probably strep throat

If he has a fever that has lasted more than 2 days, sure. It's an infection for sure, and if it's the tonsils get those bitches out in outpatient.

That is tonsillitis or strep, the patches are pus and yes those are craters they are called tonsil crypts.

They can become clogged with food and mucus and harden into tonsil stones.

Gargle warm salt water (a lot of salt, 2 tablespoon plus per 8oz) and spit. This will help clean the area and also act as a mild antiseptic. You’d could also gargle hydrogen peroxide if you dilute but prepare for massive bubbles. Not recommended.

If you think mouthwash will work, it will however if it strep you then contaminated that bottle.

Strep throat. I just had a really bad case of it. Mine's lasted 4 weeks but usually it goes away in 2 weeks or less with common antibiotics. Not the worse thing but you are contagious.

Do you have headaches? Have you had cold symptoms? Usually for strep you develop a fever pretty much simultaneously. You can get antibiotics, but if it's tonsils (which I'm sure it is) it will come back. Get them out
