I think I'm falling in love with my best friend and I genuinely don't know what to do about it. I'm just now starting to realise how amazing she is and how much she means to me, but I'm not sure if I'm just mixing up my emotions. I don't want to try my luck because it may ruin our friendship, and I can't live without it.

you clearly have some feelings for her, but don't get obsessed over it. She is making it clear what kind of relationship she wants and you should respect that. If you don't respect that then you have to have a reaaaally good plan to make it up for her. So either way, go all-in, tell her that you are going deeper than expected and have something ready for her, or just give up in your head and carry on being friends. Make a decision or it will keep eating you from the inside and making you believe silly things.
