i worked at mcdonalds for years, about 4, I did the best i could, it if wasnt right i started over instead of just passing it on to be served. i was around a lot of other employees obviously so i know how they feel, part of this poor quality and wrong orders is the unrealistic time we are given complete an order. I know its fast food but there is still a balance between speed/quality that needs to be kept. but more often than not, people dont do a good job cause we dont get paid enough to care or work hard to keep the job. if people got paid at least a somewhat liveable wage, people would care enough to do the job right, its also hard to focus on the job when you are worried about where your gonna get your next meal or if youre gonna miss rent.

Common sense dictates that easy jobs aren't going to pay very well. But there is no reason why there are so many physically labor intensive jobs in my living area that pay 8 dollars an hour. Service jobs are one thing, but working in a warehouse or factory that is mandatory heavy lifting 50-100 pounds all day long and they offer you $8. They get away with it because there are many illegals in my area that will work for pennies. $8 an hour for breaking your back is big bucks to them. So it really messes up what these jobs should pay, a livable wage for busting your ass. I'm not asking for a lot of money for these jobs, but there's no reason why you can't pay rent when half the people that get the job quit in the first week because it's too physically demanding.

I worked minimum wage jobs for years and always took my father's advice to be the best worker and do the best job. I worked through raises, got good references for better jobs and eventually landed a good six figure salary with a good company because I worked for it. I studied for aptitude tests and practiced interviews for years until I found a way our of the bottom rungs. The lazy pricks I used to work with are still there, the good workers I used to work with are all in better jobs and working middle class.
