see, now we can talk. i too have a family and quite a bit of property to call my own. also thanks to capitalism. i come from a - kind of- poverty background, and since i understand how the sytstem works, i can play along and accumulate wealth. this system was built by generations before me, and i understand that their values and principles as well as their traditions made it possible. you can see that other cultures did not manage to lay foundations similar to those we can enjoy. this is why i am certain that we have to preserve said values, principles and traditions. is there anything you disagree with? sure, we can disagree on certain policies but keep in mind that we most likely are not from the same country, so i may not be informed about specific policies in your country and vice versa

You can't play along, though. Unless you get absurdly lucky, which I honestly doubt it. You are a pawn in the greater scheme, that is how capitalism functions. Capitalism requires hard-working and well-meaning people to be fooled into thinking they are making even a fraction of the money the true oligarchs turn in just from sitting on their fat asses for 5 minutes.

Thanks for proving my point. The market would create a class system of quality. Better shit sells better, making people richer. The way your saying it, your saying a class system needs to already be implemented for the free market to exist. Im saying the free market would actually cause the class system, and not the other way around. Its just a byproduct of the market.
And i still dont know why you think libertarians would be against that. As long as it doesnt create more barriers to entry for anything, then no one cares that some people do better than others.

this is greedy thinking, but i can relate. but then again, what stops you and me from becoming oligarchs as well? when i was still a kid, my uncle tried to establish his own business, basically importing some nieche stuff and marketing it to others, which worked at the beginning but regulations made it too difficult and he went bankrupt with his young enterprise. then again, a friend of mine, who studied with me, is just done with engineering a new type of convertible bicycle and already got high demand. he's almost done with paperwork for the last few years, i invested in him and if everything works well, he will be quite a wealthy guy, and me, too. first i was afraid of the risk but if you want to become a "rich" guy, you have to take risks.

Diff user here. I bartend right now, im collecting numbers of potential investors, and hoping to get my own bar soon. I see an opportunity and people like my concept as much as they like me. Thats all you need bro. An opportunity to seize, and people that believe in your vision. Those oligarchs like to throw their money around, they set up side projects all the time, its not hard to get some as long as you have a real plan to show them.
