The thing about Obama is that a good amount of people believed he was Muslim. Also, a good amount of people didn’t think he was a US citizen. I believe that these factors didn’t sit well with evangelicals.
If Obama was a black man born to a southern baptist family in the south to parent(s) who were not from Africa, I think that could have had somewhat of a difference.
