hold in your poop

That's a pretty long cat.

too late :(

No way to guarentee a lucid dream, but once when I was weening myself off of weed I tried taking alternative botanic medicine and eventually tried valerian root extract. That allowed me to lucid dream for the first few nights.

stop smoking pot

Best answer here.

Apart from that, get used to creating visual queues to discern between reality/dreams. Staring at a colored light before going to bed, testing physics in dreams, etc..

you learn how to know when you're dreaming

this kid is obviously fucking retard. you barely dream when you smoke weed. every one fucking knows this.

Life is already a dream, faggot

guys i have a bag of blue lotus leaves that have been sitting in my drawer for like a year. i heard they help induce lucid dreams. will it work if i smoke them? or are they dead by this point

Two for one, lucid dreams and colon cancer

take a whole bunch of vitamin b. no more than the daily recommended dose, or your pee will smell really funny the next day.

>i heard they help induce lucid dreams.

who told you this? some tweaker on the bus? do more research. Terence McKenna? do a LOT more research, because he's dead.

youtube has some lucid dream enhancer videos that are suppose to help but I don't think there is any guarantee

stare into... THIS.

it won't promote lucid dreams, but it's neat anyway

>tonight
You can't guarantee it. There is a higher chance in morning. Lucid dreams are easily achieved in REMS phase.

And also reading a bunch of lucid dreaming stuff worked wonders for me when I was into it.

take melatonin, zinc and GABA before bed

I’m on melatonin rn that shit either makes me have nightmares or no dream at all lmao

try the GABA with it, zinc helps with testosterone. try this.

naltrexone

>GUARANTEE
Pretty sure there's none of that. I can't have any lucid dreams. The moment I realize I'm dreaming, I'm up as fuck.

Sleep on your back and focus on your breathing

Personal experience, varies from person to person. Alcohol withdrawals.
>Be me
>Exmilitary mental problems
>Fiance left
>Work two jobs, try to school, lift weights
>Drink slowly around the clock, between 8 to 14 standard drinks per day depending on how bad the day was
>2+ yrs
>Start having blackouts and loosing days.
>Loose job
>Try getting sober
>Standard alcohol withdrawal starter pack: shakes, sweats, nausea, no sleep, hypersensitivity, audible, visual and tactile hallucinations.
>Three days, finally so tired I pass out.
>Have most lucid dreams I have ever had. Thought I was awake. Dreams were just realistic for me to think I had woken up and they were real, but we're otherwise trippy ASF
>Helicopters outside my window coming to get me, people breaking into my window, home remodeled 3 different times, little people working in my walls, getting eaten by a crocodile, Orangutang as a pet, and so on.
>Hallucinations when I'm actually awake make reality seem distorted
>Start to loose track of difference between dreams and awake.
>Go to hospital
>In crazy house for ??? Number of days
>Inpatient treatment
11/10 do not reccomend

Set an alarm for an hour before you actually have to wake up. Drink some water or something and go back to sleep, and you’ll pretty much always go into dream mode

Fucking love lucid dreams
I can't do it every night but most nights in my dream I'll just say to myself "wait, you are literally in a dream right now"
And that is literally my cue to start doing whatever the fuck I want
I'm not skilled enough to literally spawn stuff or change locations to whatever I want it to be
I'm very much along for the ride
I am able to phase through walls and fly which is most of the time what I do
Phasing through walls is the only way I've been able to change locations but it has always been logical (ie if I'm in my house phasing through one wall will put me in the logical room next to it and phasing the outside wall will send me outside)
It is easy to get distracted though so very often I have to keep reminding myself that I'm dreaming to stay lucid
Again my shit is pretty tame but I can provide some experiences

>be in my house
>being chased by some unknown figure
>run into dead end room
>room has a window that is pretty tall
>very tall stalks (pretty much like corn stalks) tower over the top of the window
>immediately overcome with how odd it is for there to be tall grass/stalks outside the window
>realize i'm dreaming
>guy bust through the door walking towards me
>i'm not scared anymore press my body into the wall/window
>takes a bit but i finally fall into the grass
>tall grass is gone it is my standard yard
>think "WOW! I actually did it"
>try to fly
>swimming in the air like i'm underwater
>not really moving at all
>can see cars pass by on the road
and i lose all memory after

>I'll just say to myself "wait, you are literally in a dream right now"
dafuq do you NOT wake up the moment that occurs?

Attached: 1297986291487.jpg (250x208, 9K)

>be in strange house
>not scary or anything (i think it is my aunts old house)
>night time really dark everyone asleep
>walking around admiring the house
>reach back window wall (wall of glass with doors in the middle)
>suddenly half of my vision is covered in what appears to be a chainlink fence
>feels like my eyes are half closed
>try to open my eyes ( i can't)
>struggling to open my eyes now i'm starting to freak out
>half of my vision of my left eye is covered by a chainlink fence
>figure it must be because my eyes are half closed
>start to panic running around the house looking for someone
>run into bathroom to look at myself in the mirror
>half my vision is still covered by a chainlink fence
>look at myself and instantly realize i must be dreaming (i don't remember what i looked like must not have had a reflection)
>have to open my real eyes and wake up
>struggling to wake up
>hear my aunt talking to someone outside the bathroom window
>finally rip my eyes open can't move for a few miliseconds after waking up body still asleep
>realize the chainlink fence i saw in my dreams was actually the diamond pattern of my bed sheets
>weird position i was laying in pried my eye open
>my dream brain was turning the diamond pattern into a chain link fence

>dafuq do you NOT wake up the moment that occurs?
no i used to now i don't at all

BUTT CHUG SOME NYQUIL

>no i used to now i don't at all
so you don't know. got it.

Bed sheet for reference

Fucking this. I quit last week and have had some vivid ass shit nearly every night. It's strange to dream again.

Not pictured: caked on cumstains

yo Yea Forums, the other night I had a surreal dream. Maybe one of you can make sense out of it, because I sure can't.

>go to bed
>wake up in my dream in my bed
>literally same house, everything's the same
>everything's how I left it before going to bed
>get up out of bed
>head into living room
>see mom in chair
>ask her what's wrong, but doesn't respond
>just eerily stares off at nothing.
>look out of window, everything's pitch black
>turn around, notice tv picture is static.
>hear something at our front door
>hesitantly walks towards it
>looks through peep hole, nothing there.
>puts ear to door, listens closely
>hear's "wake up!"
>dream ends
>wakes up profusely sweating

I don't dream often, but when I do, it's always weird shit.

Are you asking how i stay asleep?
I thought you were just asking if I would wake up
No it used to happen because I would become so excited that I was finally experiencing it that I would wake myself up
Now I don't maybe it just happened too many times for me to care anymore
I know one time it woke me up but not fully to the point of black eyelids with strange patterns like zooming past
as long as you don't move your body and calm back down you can usually start dreaming again while awake

no i'm pretty clean and masturbate in the shower

You call that weird shit? I only have dreams that don't make any sense at all. When i dream of people i know (family, acquaintances), they're sometimes other ppl. Same goes for me. But in the dream, i don't notice. Nothing anyone's ever doing makes a lick of sense. When i dream i'm at home, once i wake up, i realize i have no idea where the fuck i was because nothing was right.

Another method (though i have only done it once)
is the "wild" method (wake induced lucid dream)
one thing you have to understand that I can not stress enough is that you are not awake awake like we are in the real world now
you are only mildly aware if that makes sense
you can only be as self aware as you can get before losing your train of thought otherwise you will wake yourself up
those who have experienced lucid dreams and maybe can clarify better than I can please do
when you lay down tonight close your eyes and relax your entire body
don't move don't toss and turn just relax and breathe
at some point your body will perform a few tests to see if you are actually ready to fall asleep
it will tell you you are uncomfortable and you need to turn but don't
it will make you itch somewhere but don't scratch
don't even think about anything
completely clear your mind (this is nearly impossible but don't "converse" and follow your train of thought as this will keep you awake as you discuss topic after topic)
instead let the thoughts drift through your mind and don't give them a single thought
this is what always gets me you may reach a point where you will start to "hear" things
could be someone talking
could be a thud or tap
could be anything
you have to ignore it and you can not get scared as this is more tests your body is performing (and proof you are close to dream state)
after which your thoughts will become almost completely silent
and this is the very tough stage as this is where you will likely forget about being aware of you lucid dreaming and instantly fall asleep
but if you just listen to your breathing to keep you grounded then maybe you can start dreaming while awake
