All you need to do is brush your teeth once a day, and go to the dentist when you're in serious trouble.

My best friend is a dentist and he tells me insurance companies basically line his pockets. He believes in checkups but only to see of there's serious issues.
His biggest advice is to not eat bread or carbs shortly before bed or brush your teeth before bed. It creates bacteria that will eat your teeth overnight.
