Is there proof of time travel

Is there proof of time travel

yes

Yes, GPS signals have to compensate for time travel or they would not work. Also, Einstein proved the math behind it when he discovered timespace

Nah will never work

Time travel exists, and is easily proven.
We've all traveled forwards in time.

Objects in high gravity and/or at high speeds experience slower time, a high speed train is a (very shitty) time machine

precise satellites have to compensate for this to work properly.

A better question is, can we travel back in time, and, can we travel forwards in time *in a practical way*

“Time “ doesn’t exist. It is a human construct

Yes, we are all traveling to the future

But timespace does exist

That's such a retarded cop out. That's like saying there is no such thing as day and night. Humans made those up.

brong

Technically that's not time travel per se

Technically that's exactly what time travel is.

time space ur reffering to only moves foreward in timespace so into the future not backwards if u would go at the speed of light time as u know it on earth will stand still but only for your eyes everything on earth will continue like it normally does only all the light emmiting from earth you would only see the light u saw when u started to move away from earth with the speed of light because all the light particles will move with u at this. speed of light so a foton(light particle) has to go faster as the speed of light to reach ur eye which it can't so all u see is the picture u saw when moving from earth only it gets smaller and smaller the more u move away.

The flow of time isn't affected though if anything it's teleporting shittily

Time dilation happens on the ISS. People age slower there because of the high orbital velocity they are travelling at. Einstein's theory of relativity says that the closer you get to the speed of light, the more time slows down for you. If you were travelling through space at the speed of light, a short trip to you would be much longer on Earth. This is all theoretically possible and I guess they did the calculations to prove it with the ISS.

why don't you ask me yesterday?

Yes, but only forwards, not backwards

and objects that are at high speed or have allot of mass that will experience slower time is due time dilation

Time dilation is a difference in the elapsed time measured by two clocks, either due to them having a velocity relative to each other, or by there being a gravitational potential difference between their locations. After compensating for varying signal delays due to the changing distance between an observer and a moving clock (i.e. Doppler effect), the observer will measure the moving clock as ticking slower than a clock that is at rest in the observer's own reference frame. A clock that is close to a massive body (and which therefore is at lower gravitational potential) will record less elapsed time than a clock situated further from the said massive body (and which is at a higher gravitational potential).

That's just plain wrong

"aging" really has nothing to do with passage of time though

time isnt a thing, time is a concept, a unit of measure

sauce on these studies or youre an unedumacated fag who needs to go back

If you're traveling at the speed of light, "a short trip" would not exist. Light has no memory. Time stops at the speed of light.

time is most definitely a thing it just gets warped and mangled by gravitational fields time space is a thing

You could Google time dilation experiments
It's proven

ok time travel into the future:
u can make paper and then burn it

time travel back into time is like trying to unburn a piece of paper it cannot happen it already happened

if u want to go into time travel stuff multiverses are ur best bet as that is still debatable

quick fact your head is older then ur feet as ur feet are closer to earths center of mass and thus time goes slower for your feet than it would for your head

basicly the heavier an object the more it will slow down time around it. gravaty is still kinda unexplained in allot of ways its a weird thing.

What's even more interesting is perception of time. Like a bird can gracefully walk through speeding traffic as if it were at a crawl for them, it seems to be somewhat based off of how fast their heartbeat is

Geez, thanks for the expert wikipedia copy/paste, i know what time dilation is.
The result of time dilation is still time travel (one object travels further/less far in time, compared to reference object)

?

u can speed up your own perception of time by 1.5x by using cocaine and slow it down by 0.5x by using cannabis they tested this with lab rats

np buddy, what do u mean by one object travels furher/less in time then the other one?

Let me explain it like this:
You forgot to paste the rest of the top, confirming my point.

"Time dilation has also been the subject of science fiction works, as it technically provides the means for forward time travel."

It literally is the flow of time being distorted.
An hour for you could be weeks for everyone else.

i honestly believe that 'time travel' is possible. but it wont be like you think it is. what will happen, is that you'll slide between dimensions, and perhaps in this new dimension, time has slightly advanced or slowed down. there will be another you

We are traveling through time right now you dolt.

Also, in a more serious answer, it is theorized that if you were able to enter a black hole and survive, you could traverse time as though it were space. It's complicated, but essentially the theory is that within the immense gravitational forces of the black hole, space and time will bend such that they reverse roles.

You would be able to travel to any point within time, but isolated to a single point within space.

No not the way science fiction time travel works anyway. Theres theories on how it can be achieved but a living organism would most certainly die in the process. Stephen hawking's time travelers ball was a bust so we can safely assume that time travel wont be invented any time in the near or not so distant future.

They also found out that your personality type directly effects your perception of time. They asked different personalities to stand up after what they thought was a minute and it consistently differed from type to type.

2x times when under adrenaline. Time feels like it lasts forever in a life or death situation

>>if you were able to enter a black hole and survive
Whatever, you'll be spaghettified long before you "enter" anything

And how do you "enter"?
a black hole is nothing like a portal, and more like a planet with extreme gravity.
You wont be "entering" anything, you'll be crashing into it (but get pulled apart before that)

Unfortunately no and will NEVER exist, though I wish it did and there were a way to "view the past" without being seeing or interfering in any way with it.

>>I wish it did and there were a way to "view the past"
Thats called video recording ;)

what if someone did show up, but explained that it was public knowledge that no one showed up, so to avoid a paradox, stephen hawking kept it secret and told everyone noone showed up

Jajajaja, nice try. You know I mean being able to observe Christopher Columbus' journey, the american War of Independence, the ancient Roman Empire, Medieval ages...
